Boys name; none feel right

We seem to be quite fussy with names and I'm really feeling the pressure of giving a 'good' name to our son. (Due in a couple of months)

Like alot of people we want something familiar but also that won't be 1 of multiples in the classroom/workplace....

He has Lorcan as an older brother.

Some names I've been circling around are;

Heath, Fabien, Jude, Quentin, Benedict, Hector, Aidan, Ryan, Vincent, Ronan, Tobias, Arthur, Micah, Orson, Danny, Jasper, Curtis, Finbar

For various reasons I'm just not convinced on any of these Confused

We are based in England but have Irish and some French family so have been keeping that in mind.

What are your thoughts?

I like Arthur. What about Etienne? There must be some lovely Irish names in your family? What about Lannick? He's a rather dashing French actor?

Lachlan
Brogan
Rowan

My concern with Arthur is the pronunciation here could wind up as 'Arfur'.
I do like Etienne.... Might be mis-heard as Ethan here though.
Not heard Lannick before...I'm off to Google this dashing actor you speak of Smile

I’m a big fan of most of your list. Some top names there. Sorry you’re not convinced. FWIW I really like Micah. Lorcan and Micah sound a pretty awesome pair tbh.

I also have two boys and also felt plagued to choose a “good” name.

Some random suggestions:
Oren/Orrin, Gabriel, Griffin, Tristan, Torben

Hadley/Hadleigh? Otto? Ellis?

From your list Tobias will be called Toby which I know a few of at the mo. Jude and Jasper also quite popular. Arthur VERY popular local to me in SW. Anything Ronan/Rowan popular too.

Finbar is awesome! X

I like most of your list. I’m not keen on Micah, Ryan, Orson,Curtis or Roman. Daniel is better than Danny.

I like most of the names on your list, especially Quentin (biased as we have one Smile) and Orson.

From your list I really like Fabian, Quentin,Vincent and Orson.

I don't like Jude, Danny or Ryan.

Some great names on your list, in particular Quentin, Aidan, Vincent and Orson. Although maybe Lorcan and Orson are a little similar?

Rosesarereds · 28/07/2020 13:22

I like most of your list apart from Hector (meaning puts me off) and Micah. My favourites are Roman and Quentin.

How about Reuben?

I hear Arthur and Jude quite a lot, (SE England). I know a 5 yo Ronan and a few Tobys, (not necessarily Tobias, but they might be).

I love Finbar! I also love Fergus, Oisin and Conan, if you are looking for more Irish suggestions.
