Alice or Verity

What are your opinions on these names, I prefer one and DH prefers the other. There are other names such as Harriet and Emma which we like but can’t use due to our surname so really these are our final choices.

Alice probably shades it but both good would wait until baby arrives and then see which suits

I love the name Verity!

Both nice names. Alice is particularly lovely.

Verity reminds me of creepy Kenny Everett's character Verity Treacle.

Both lovely. If it were my choice I'd go with Verity.
They sound great together, either way round, if you want one as a middle name.

I like Alice a lot and when I read the thread title I immediately preferred Alice. Having said that, I suppose Verity has a bit more punch with the hard consonants.
