Jemima or Juliet

We struggled for so long for girls names and couldn't find anything we loved, then suddenly we heard Jemima and it was perfect!
However, we have since fallen in love with Juliet too and can't decided between the two. So......

Which would you choose and why?
Jemima Isabel or
Juliet Isabella

Thank you Smile

Jemima

I can't take Jemima seriously, it sounds too much like a comedy name to me.

SoftBlocks · 13/07/2020 20:45

Definitely Juliet.

Twizbe · 13/07/2020 21:02

I'd go in with both and see what baby looks like when she arrives

Thank you everyone! I've gone through all your responses and as things currently stand we have....
41 people have said they prefer Juliet and 27 people have said they prefer Jemima.
I'll be completely honest, it's Gnomeo and Juliet that has brought the name back to me!! My sons keep watching!! Its a name I loved years ago, long before I actually had children and not sure why I've never considered it. Its very unusual with not many babies called Juliet and I was looking for a more popular name. BUT there's something about it that I can't get out of my heard. Confused

Juliet...I just think it’s prettier.

Jemima Isabel.

I hate Jules as a nickname, but I love Juliet. You don't meet many ladies called Juliet. In regards to middle name, I think it depends on your surname. Juliet Isabella is fine if your surname is one or two syllables but Juliet Isabell if it was 2/3/4 syllables would sound better. Jemima is okay, but very 'horsey'.

I love Jemima! Like Jemima Puddle Duck, a classic

SparkyBlue · 14/07/2020 12:18

I have a Juliette and always get compliments on it

Grufallosfriends · 14/07/2020 13:20

I pronounce Juliette (JuliETT) differently to Juliet (JOOLiet). The emphasis is very different.

I prefer Juliet. And Isabel (rather than Isabelle).
