Usain Bolt reveals he and his girlfriend have called their baby daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt. She's a very beautiful baby. I wonder what she'll make of her name when she's older.

That's genuinely one of the coolest names I've ever heard. Olympia is beautiful.

Being the daughter of Usain Bolt, and having the middle name Lightning is a lot to live up to!

When I was a child, I always said if I had children they would be called Thunder and Lightning. I imagine Usaine Bolt is one of the few people who could pull it off! (I didn't name my child Thunder or Lightning!)

It’s like a super hero name. Guess if she doesn’t like the middle bit then Olympia Bolt doesn’t sound as out there. Personally I love it. But then I used to know a guy called Jet Thrust which always made me giggle.

Olympia is a lovely nod to his phenomenal Olympic career. I haven't checked but I assume she is his first child.

I assume Bolt is his real surname. Olympia isn't that bizarre in the scheme of names. Lighting I assume is a middle name and I expect will only ever be used on official paperwork. Lots of people have 'silly' middle names.

Jet Thrust changed his name (officially) - we were at uni. I sometimes wonder if he grew up and changed it back to something more normal.

Wow! No two ways with a name like that, you can either live up to it or it's a millstone round your neck. Was he going into a creative industry? Can't see it being a great asset in the civil service or the law.

Olympia is a really pretty name. I thinking the middle name Lightening is overkill and Olympia is a perfect reference to her wonderful father. But in celeb world anything goes!

This is the double standards on Mumsnet because someone well liked has given their baby an out there name. It's all Oh what a beautiful name. However if some one comes on here asking for opinions on an unusual name it's all
