WDYT of this name? I'm seriously falling for it and been considering it for the past few days. It's mostly used in Scandinavia from what I gather and I actually did meet a Swedish girl named Axelina about 10 years ago maybe.

I'm just not sure what kind of vibes it would give to other people? I love the name Alexandra but it does feel a bit meh sometimes and I think Axelina has a very similar vibe yet slightly different so I'm loving it but still having mini second thoughts.

I like it ....

DramaAlpaca · 21/06/2020 21:37

It sounds like a character from the Asterix comics.

I sort of like it, but not sure.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 21/06/2020 21:37

Are you a Guns n Roses fan?

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/06/2020 21:38

Don't be ridiculous.

OwlBasket · 21/06/2020 21:38

I’m used to hearing both English and Dutch (obvs. Not Scandinavian but there are similarities). It sounds like it could be the name of an industrial lubricant.

BackforGood · 21/06/2020 21:39

Really don't like it.

GaraMedouar · 21/06/2020 21:39

Nope

LightDrizzle · 21/06/2020 21:41

Sounds like something a car mechanic might have to hand in a big tin.

GertiMJN · 21/06/2020 21:43

To my non-scandanavian ear it sounds like an attempt to 'feminise' Axel and immediately thought of guns and Roses like pp

Headperson · 21/06/2020 21:44

If you hate your child but can't be arsed spending your whole life torturing her then this is an excellent alternative.

Skyliner001 · 21/06/2020 21:44

Terrible

Harpischord · 21/06/2020 21:45

Ha ha ha ha. No.

RedRec · 21/06/2020 21:46

This has to be a wind up.

littlequestion · 21/06/2020 21:47

It sounds like an anti-biotic. Sorry.

HPLikecraft · 21/06/2020 21:52

Terrible

gameboyy · 21/06/2020 21:52

No need to be rude (some of you). I do appreciate opinions but I'm not here to get mocked over my name choices. And it is an actual name so I didn't just make it up 5 minutes ago.

Honesty will always be appreciated as long as it isn't rude

Honestly, it's awful.

Moltenpink · 21/06/2020 21:55

Ohhh I like it! Cute.

OneFootintheRave · 21/06/2020 21:58

Axelle? But yes, I immediately thought Guns and Roses.

Londoner99 · 21/06/2020 21:59

I guess the good thing about this name is that there won't be five Alexinas by the time she reaches nursery. Are there any other names you like?

MWNA · 21/06/2020 22:01

Ghastly. Hilariously awful. It's like you're joking or something

Bertucci · 21/06/2020 22:02

Only if you hate your child.

Smellbellina · 21/06/2020 22:02

Sounds like a contraceptive pill

villainousbroodmare · 21/06/2020 22:03

Sorry, it's a shocker.

MrMenGoSwimming · 21/06/2020 22:03

Is this today's Haven? Wink
