Hi, me and DP have chosen the name Lucas for our son due next month. Surname starts with a B and is 2 syllables.

Which middle name goes best? Your top 2 please....thanks

Yep, me too.

Lucas Carter is a bit different and utterly fabulous, and Lucas James is a bit safer but still really good. I love them both.

Lucas should be the middle name
From your list Lucas Oscar flows nicely then Lucas Austen.
The S end needs a vowel start. 2 consonents doesnt roll off the tongue.

I think, as you have a 2 syllable first and last name, a 1 syllable middle name flows better. So, James gets my vote.

But if the surname starts with a B and is 2 syllables, say Button or Barker or Bolton for example would't Beauden sound completely wrong?

Admittedly having previously laughed at Beauden I now really like it! Depends on the surname though.
