Rhymes with "higher"/"buyer" but beginning with an N.

We like this as our girls name, but just wondering how you would spell it to get the right pronunciation?

Nya or Niah. Although the only Niah I’ve known was a boy.

Tricky. I don’t think there’s a guaranteed spelling here. I think Naia or Naya are a reasonable bet but you will still get the odd person who will pronounce them nay-ah on first reading and need correcting.

Alternatively you could use Mya as a template for Nya.

I would definitely pronounce Niya as rhyming with fear.

Nya is the easiest and most accurate way of getting it rhyming with fire. I know a few spelt Nyah but I find that an ugly spelling.

Niya also looks wrong because what word ever needs an i and a y next to each other?

Agree that it depends on your accent. I wouldn't pronounce anything ending in A as -er but you obviously do.
