So I’ve now had my boy, my partner is making me feel so depressed, my little perfect man has been here for 48 hours and it just doesn’t feel right him not having a name and I feel my daughter is confused !!

It’s like he isn’t saying nothing to me, but my child isn’t a fashion show!
And we will decide, I think it is so ridiculous as we had a wide choice of names !!!!
Helpppp

Hotwaterbottlelove · 24/05/2020 21:14

What is your partner doing that is depressed you?

And what do you mean by a fashion show?

bluemoon2468 · 24/05/2020 21:16

You might need to help narrow this down by giving some ideas of the names you've been considering?

Flymetothestars · 24/05/2020 21:32

What sort of names do you like? What's your daughter called?

Flymetothestars · 24/05/2020 21:34

Also- tell everyone to calm down. This baby isn't conscious and I don't think my son responded to his own actual name more than any other name until about 2 years old. He'd turn his head if I shouted his name aged 1 but he'd also turn his head to a whole host of other names too

Ughmaybenot · 24/05/2020 21:37

Honestly, relax. It’s okay that he doesn’t have a name just yet, there’s no harm in that.
What would you actually like us to help with? Your post is a little unclear.

OccasionalNachos · 24/05/2020 21:42

Did you think you were going to have a girl? Your post is confusing...

whatausername · 24/05/2020 21:42

Breathe! Enjoy your gorgeous DS. The name is a teeny tiny part of who he is. How you raise him, what he likes & dislikes, how he acts, his character traits, etc are all what make up his identity. More so than his name actually.

So relax. Give him and your DD a cuddle. Then explain to us what your DH has done/not done. And clarify what you mean about fashion show. X

whatausername · 24/05/2020 21:46

What about Treyvon? It's got the feel of those other names you liked? I know you want unusual, even unique if possible, and your DH wants established & traditional.

IVflytrap · 24/05/2020 22:29

Cassian or Emrys! Grin

Congrats Flowers

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/05/2020 22:37

What type of names do you like.

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:36

My prefferd choices are
Amari

@Hotwaterbottlelove
One name is made up and he just said it’s not a fashion show he wants to name his son something that has a meaning to him and a good Christian name !!

Pieceofpurplesky · 25/05/2020 00:39

What does he want to call the baby?

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:41

@Flymetothestars
I like Arabic names but I’m not to keen on many of the boy ones.
I like unusual names not many people have heard of x

Pieceofpurplesky · 25/05/2020 00:42

Amari
Tareyon
Eliyas - spelt Arabic way
Kaireece

Amari sounds like a girl's name. Tareyon and Kaireece I am not a fan of,

Elias is a form of Elijah and a lovely name.

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:42

@Flymetothestars
Thanks it’s just I had my girls name all thru my pregnancy and I want to of come home to call my baby by his name, I am just so stressed and it’s made my anxiety go thru the roof I feel like this has triggered memof

JasHarts · 25/05/2020 00:45

Amari- my reaction to this would be comparable to my reaction to Jayden. Not a good one.
Tareyon - I’m not sure how to say this. It looks like a GOT name
Eliyas - spelt Arabic way - nice
Kaireece - I’m sorry this is horrendous. This is Jayden on steroids

Choose Eliyas. It goes nicely with your DD’s name

DelphiniumBlue · 25/05/2020 00:47

Elijah or Elliot? Eli? Adem/Adam?
What are his choices, maybe there's a compromise. Is he actually Christian, or is he just saying h e wants a plainer, more English name? Or does he mean he actually wanted a biblical name?

AntiHop · 25/05/2020 00:47

Not amari as it sounds like a girl's name.

I like Eliyas.

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:49

Alexander
Or Christopher

It doesn't matter if the baby was born on his birthday. He's being an idiot.

It's naming your son, you get a say!

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:51

@IVflytrap thanks

K1mberlylauren · 25/05/2020 00:52
