I think Dougal, Florence, Zebedee and Ermintrude are all beautiful. Sadly no more DC for me.

Also Zippy, George and Bungle. I realise these aren't literary references, but rather The Arts. Nevertheless worth including for consideration.

Biff is short for Bethany (someone told me), chip is for Christopher and Kipper ....no idea anymore.
