Tabitha - a bit old fashioned
Harlow - don't like, prefer Harley
Indie - meh
Eliza - plain, boring and dated
Penelope - strongly dislike
Eden - love
Florence - love

So yeah, Eden and Florence would be my picks.

Blursula · 15/05/2020 17:43

Tabitha and Eden are my faves. Both lovely

BabyDust13 · 15/05/2020 17:46

I love Florence ❤️

justanotherparent1810 · 15/05/2020 17:48

Eliza and Eden are my favourites!

Elouera · 15/05/2020 17:50

Tabitha- reminds me of a witch! Maybe an 80's show where the witch character was called Tabitha? I also think of Tabby, like a cat.

Harlow- I thought this was a male name? It sounds masculine to me and the one I dislike the most.

Indie- Bit hippy, but I do like different, less common names. What about Indiana or India?

Eliza- Its ok

Penelope- I like it, and also Penny

Eden- LOVE! I had this on my shortlist. Different, without being really out there.

Florence- Flo, always remind me of the period tracking app or a 90yr old lady. I think its becoming more popular again, but not a fan.

RoseMartha · 15/05/2020 17:51

I like Eliza and Florence best

seriousandloyal · 15/05/2020 17:52

I think Eliza is by far the nicest.

TatianaBis · 15/05/2020 17:53

Ditch the naff ones - Eden, Harlow and Indie - and choose from the classics.

Peachbubble · 15/05/2020 17:53

Love Tabitha, second choice would be Eliza.

userabcname · 15/05/2020 17:55

Tabitha or Penelope. Beautiful names.

SomeonesRealName · 15/05/2020 17:56

We know a few male Eadens and Edens if that bothers you.

VerbenaGirl · 15/05/2020 17:58

Tabitha - Nice, makes me think of Bewitched
Harlow - NO, I live near Harlow in Essex, it’s not a nice place at all.
Indie - Love (short for Indigo?)
Eliza - Love
Penelope - No
Eden - Quite like this, different without being bonkers.
Florence - We have a guinea pig called Florence

BabyLlamaZen · 15/05/2020 18:03

What letters/sound is the surname?

Quite like Tabitha and Florence always works.

MaMaMyCorona · 15/05/2020 18:05

Eden or Penelope

helpmum2003 · 15/05/2020 18:09

Tabitha lovely
Harlow would be chavvy round here and ugly i think, sorry
Indie ok? Very popular currently
Eliza lovely
Penelope ok
Eden ok. Again? Very popular
Florence lovely

Passionfruitt · 15/05/2020 18:15

Tabitha - My ex's dog was named this so I can’t see it as a human name anymore
Harlow - Reminds me of Harlem in NY, and that’s not a good connection
Indie - Sounds like you wanted the name India but it was too popular already
Eliza - I love this one
Penelope - Sadly I speak Spanish and pene is penis
Eden- Love it
Florence - Its a bit popular for my taste but I feel it’s a timeless and beautiful name

Florence, Eden and Eliza are my picks

Olthe · 15/05/2020 18:33

Thank you for the opinions!
Ha, I certainly wouldn’t want my child’s name referencing a penis in any language so thanks!

Tabitha: I like
Eliza : really like
Indie: feels incomplete
Penelope: really like
Eden: boy's name not my fave
Florence: ok, rather we'll used if that bothers you
Harlow; a new town in Essex or surname to Jean , either way not a very nice first name imo.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 15/05/2020 19:42

Tabitha - not sure why but I hate this name
Harlow - no
Indie - no
Eliza - ok
Penelope - ok
Eden - meh, don’t love or hate it
Florence - overused

whatausername · 15/05/2020 19:47

Tabitha, Eliza or Penelope.

I hate Florence, it's quite an ugly sounding, cumbersome name somehow. I can't explain it. I hear it and a little part of me thinks "Eww". And given everyone's obsession with NNs these days, she'll probably be called Flo. Which is even worse.

Harlow is inoffensive but not my style. Disclaimer: I've never been to Harlow.

Eliza, Tabitha and Penelope are pretty and suit all ages and all walks of life.

Indie is half a name. Reminds me of all those daft middle class hippie-wannabes who called their DDs India years ago.

Eden makes me think of the Garden of Eden story about how women are sinners and must be kept under wraps for their own good. I acknowledge I am probably in the minority with this PoV.

Robs20 · 15/05/2020 19:51

I love them all apart from Eden and Harlow!

Whatsyourflava · 15/05/2020 20:03

Tabitha - just think of a cat and then think of the horrible rude word Pussy and think it could be used as a taunt?! Ha. Probably just me being odd.
Harlow - nah really downmarket
Indie - love love love
Eliza - love love love - favourite!
Penelope - love love love
Eden - love
Florence - love - favourite!

Reader1984 · 15/05/2020 20:09

Eliza, Eden or Florence

peperethecat · 15/05/2020 20:32

Tabitha - quite nice
Harlow - awful, chavvy
Indie - meh... India is OK
Eliza - nice
Penelope - lovely
Eden - tacky
Florence - lovely

OhTheRoses · 15/05/2020 20:39

Eliza
Penelope
Florence
Tabitha

In that order. Were there any other proper names?
