Sibling for Ines and Eliza

I desperately need help choosing a name for baby number 3! I have identical twin daughters called Ines Matilda and Eliza Philippa and am stuck for a name for our third daughter due in June! The twins’ names we just fell in love with and their middle names are mine and my husbands mothers names. The only other names we really considered for the girls was Astrid, Hermione, Carlota and Martha but none of them are really screaming at me this time although I still love them. In terms of style of names we like names you have heard and don’t sound weird but aren’t in the top 20/30 and preferably outside the top 100. If it helps if it were a boy his name would have been Gabriel or Hugo with the middle names Frederick John (family names again!).

Any suggestions for first of middle names would be so helpful as I’m starting to panic she doesn’t have a name!!!

Wow, I love all your names! Ines and Eliza are both on my "longlist", along with Martha. Others I like:

Frida (and various alternative spellings)
Esme
Ingrid
Hester
Greer
Hebe
Greta
Sybil

As you can see, my style is pretty much the opposite of "pretty" Grin

Not what you asked but never heard of Ines before. How is it pronounced? As it is spelt? To rhyme with Lines?

Congratulations on baby number three! Suggestions for you:
Violet
Thea
Bethany
Charlotte

Dolores means "pains" in Spanish and it is a pretty common name for older generations but I'd suggest to steer clear from this one Confused

My niece is named Martha Elise which is lovey but one of your DD is already Eliza.

Emilia Carlota
Elena Carlota
Martha Carlota
Carlota Amelia
Carola Maria

Fiorella
Ester
Irene
Ivana
Lucia (love this one!)
Romina
Sabrina

I get a very spanish vibe from your names so I tried suggestion some within the same category

Bubbletrouble43 · 14/05/2020 18:49

Looking at pp the suggestion Sylvie really jumps out as being gorgeous and unusual without being weird, and matching your other choices.
Sylvie Carlotta is lovely and her middle name ends in a like her sisters.

Thank you for so many suggestions!!

Ines is pronounced I-nez and is the portuguese form of Agnes so I can’t use that unfortunately! To answer your question yes my names are very inspired by Hispanic but more specifically portuguese culture because I grew up there and speak the language!

I really love the suggestion of Martha Carlota that’s really pretty and I think ‘goes’. Also really like Saskia, Beatrix and Colette. I’m not a massive fan of ‘old lady’ names but like names that sound quite modern. For example Eliza is historically a shortening of Elizabeth rather than going with the traditional name!

I've been thinking about girl's names since the 'Elsie' thread and have been thinking "Margot" all day (and not in the Leadbeater way!)
Putting it out there for you OP...

Anastasia (Known as tasia)
Amarys

Odessa
Ursula
Una (no S/z sound though)

Thank you for your continued suggestions!!

I LOVE Margot - I had never really heard it before and it’s so pretty and has the same elegance and old fashioned modern twist as Eliza.

Also I was wondering opinions on Astrid - it is a pretty name but we discarded it first time because it was perhaps too out there? Any thoughts/ opinions on it?

I’m still so unsure! Ahh what would you go for?

Saskia, Beatrix, Colette, Martha, Carlota or Astrid.

Any opinions/thoughts on these names?

Or Margot which should be on the bottom list of 6 names?

Margot is a favourite of mine, along with Martha and Marnie

How about Clementine or Delilaj
