How about Ezra?

Some people may have seen my other thread, which included a bunch of increasingly ludicrous names for our hypothetical baby boy (TTC). I loved all the names but probably wouldn't ever actually use them... Hmm

So... how about Ezra? It hit me, I love it, its unusual but not weird.

Thoughts?

I love it.

Lizadork · 13/05/2020 20:22

I love Ezra - it is just feels classic yet cool - I would use it.

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 13/05/2020 20:24

My 18 month old son is an Ezra! I love it!

iano · 13/05/2020 20:26

I like it

peajotter · 13/05/2020 20:28

Love it. The biblical Ezra is a good guy and that bit of the bible is nice. I’m amazed it isn’t more popular with names like Noah taking off in a big way.

ellanwood · 13/05/2020 20:29

I love it.

LuluBellaBlue · 13/05/2020 20:29

Love it - I do thing it’s going to massively grow in popularity

Honeyroar · 13/05/2020 20:29

I love it too.

Malysh · 13/05/2020 20:32

I like it actually. But I may be biased because of the star wars anime series !

MikeUniformMike · 13/05/2020 21:11

I don't like it. He'll be Ez or Ezzy. It's very popular.

insertcaffeine · 13/05/2020 21:13

Classic yet super cool. I love it.

SallyWD · 13/05/2020 21:32

Very nice. I know 2 little Ezras

stickman12 · 13/05/2020 21:32

Very common! I know four baby Ezraa

TenThousandSpoons · 13/05/2020 21:33

Love it

NicotineRushh · 13/05/2020 21:49

I didn't realise it was so common! In all honesty I've never been that bothered about the popularity of names, I know some people get so upset that one of their favourite names ends up in the top 30 but that's no guarantee they will end up being one in a hundred in their real life.

Ryan, and Matthew for example were popular names while I was growing up - in terms of names used online/in stories/movies etc, but I only actually knew 1 Ryan personally throughout all of school and college etc.

I am definitely sold on Ezra, and for once DH agrees! Not just a "yeah because you like it, sure" he actually thinks it's cool. Along with our last name it sounds totally badass Wink investigations into our conception issues are on hold at the moment due to the pandemic, we can't even get test results so there is time for him to change his mind!

I really love it. It has deservedly been gaining popularity and is at number 59 in the charts - depends if that's too popular for you or not. It's not top or anything but not rare

Whatsyourflava · 13/05/2020 21:51

Crossed messages with yours! Yes it is popular but I have yet to meet any toddler called Ezra despite being part of many many baby groups

DukeOfEarlGrey · 13/05/2020 22:01

Love it!

DramaAlpaca · 13/05/2020 22:02

Hate it. Sorry.

CostaCosta · 13/05/2020 22:04

Mitsouko67 · 13/05/2020 22:05

NicotineRushh · 13/05/2020 22:11

I like it, but it is nearly 'arse' backwards which might put me off

Fred578 · 13/05/2020 22:40

Ezra is a great name! Wish I’d thought of it

Tillygetsit · 13/05/2020 22:43

I love it. I have a thing for biblical names.
