4th baby name to go with....

42pregnant · 09/05/2020 08:25

Siblings are Freddie, Nina and Eva.

Any inspiration for a 4th? I’ve just found out I’m pregnant at 42 when other kids are teens/nearly teens. I’m terrified so trying to distract myself with fun things like names.

I really like Eliza but don’t want to repeat an initial of any of the other kids. Clara is going on the list.

For boys I like Wilf but my older kids hate it - I know this because we discussed it when Boris Johnson named his son. Thomas is lovely but is it too plain?

Ok so F , N and E names are a no-no then? I think it's totally fine to repeat an initial for what it's worth Eliza Wilf and Thomas are great names and not at all plain

Other thoughts

Theo
Leo

Or Vivienne

42pregnant · 09/05/2020 09:32

I love Max, Felix and Rafferty but DH thinks they are Posh or pretentious or something like that! I adore Laurie but can’t use that. I’m sort of drawn to Sid but not sure I’m brave enough.

On girls I do like Violet but it’s a bit close to Violent I think.

George

Lola

Isadora2007 · 09/05/2020 09:40

Freddie Nina and Eva

Nothing with another “ah” sound at the end or poor Freddie will be the odd one out.

I think a single or triple syllable name to offset the doubles of all the siblings would be good.

Anne
Shaun
Verity
Isabella
Jonathan/Jonathon
Flynn or Finn
Jude
May

Oh and congratulations- how did the kids take the news?!?

42pregnant · 09/05/2020 09:47

@isadora2007 the kids don’t know. I won’t tell them until the end of the first trimester. I’m so old I fear something is likely to go wrong and I don’t want to put them through that. I think they will actually be happy as they have talked before about loving the idea of a baby. It’s me that’s finding this hard to process I think!

I love Jude. Also like Annie. From further up thread I like Theo and Jemima.

What do people think of Arthur and Matilda with Freddie, Eva and Nina?

Love Arthur- fits very nicely with your other children’s names.

passthemustard · 09/05/2020 20:12

Hi @42pregnant

I am also 42 and pregnant (mines number 5!) my eldest is 19 this year. Congratulations on still being fertile.

I am also here distracting myself with names lol

42pregnant · 10/05/2020 07:23

Thank you everyone. We are starting a little list. For boys we have Arthur, Thomas, Oscar, Bertie. For girls we have Matilda, Juno, Annie.

@passthemustard congratulations! Nice to hear of someone in the same boat. Are you finding this pregnancy harder? I’m frankly terrified as I feel quite physically old already. This wasn’t exactly part of the plan but I’m taking it that it was just meant to be.
