Thoughts? Not sure if it sounds too much like rosacea.

Yes, it does sound like rosacea!!! Not a fan at all of any names which sound like a medical condition!

LovingLola · 08/05/2020 19:20

How do you pronounce it?
And yes - rosacea springs to mind

evrey · 08/05/2020 19:21

When I saw the title I thought it was a skin condition thread , sorry.

BuffaloCauliflower · 08/05/2020 19:21

I don’t know how you’d say it but my brain corrects to rosacea

Edenember · 08/05/2020 19:22

@LovingLola not sure ... I’d imagine it’s Roe-sha but with a hard sha as in Persia

Terrible

Furballs35 · 08/05/2020 19:26

Not sure how to pronounce it. I know a Rosina though.

peajotter · 08/05/2020 19:26

It looks like a spelling mistake sorry, I thought it should be Roseiaz With Rose as a common name, I’m sure lots of people will try to correct it or misread it.

peajotter · 08/05/2020 19:27

(Not sure where the z came from sorry)

evilharpy · 08/05/2020 19:27

I saw it in the active threads and clicked on it because I thought it was rosacea (which I have). Definitely not a good name for a child.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 08/05/2020 19:29

I thought you meant rosacea too.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 08/05/2020 20:30

medical condition - so that's a no from me.

MoreSchnitzelPlease · 08/05/2020 20:32

Take out the e and it could work. I saw Roe and immediately thought of fish roe.

Crookshanksthecat · 08/05/2020 20:42

Definitely sounds too much like rosacea. Not a nice thing to be named after.

How about these R names:

Rosalie, Rowenna, Rhian, Rory, Romula or Romilly

TiptopJ · 08/05/2020 20:44

Yes sorry as soon as I saw it in the title it reminded me of the medical condition

Zezet · 08/05/2020 20:46

I thought of Russia pronounced with a Russian accent Blush

It's odd though because I actually like most elements/sounds in that name. But to me it doesn't quite add up.

titchy · 08/05/2020 20:46

Rouja would look better and sound the same as you thought this name would.

Anoisagusaris · 08/05/2020 20:46

There is an Irish name Roise - pronounced Rosh-a.

LizzieAnt · 08/05/2020 21:05

Yes, the Irish name Róise is pronounced Roe-shuh which is similar to the pronunciation you describe OP. The emphasis is on the first syllable.

whatausername · 08/05/2020 21:26

Not a fan at all.

aneliese · 08/05/2020 21:44

I thought of fish roe initially

Aquamarine1029 · 08/05/2020 21:45

Some horrible skin condition. It's awful, sorry.

Pieceofpurplesky · 08/05/2020 21:57

It's French and pronounced Row- See-A I think

Patapouf · 08/05/2020 22:07

Sorry my first thought before I even saw your OP was that it sounded like a skin condition.

AhComeOnNow · 08/05/2020 22:10

Yep. My first thought was the skin condition, even though I'm not 100% sure on how to pronounce either!
