I like these names
Aurora
Daisy
Luna
Pippa
Poppy
Sarah

I have heard Francesca shortened to Frankie and know a little girl called Beatrix that is shortened to Bea
Have you considered Rowan? Quite similar to Rowena. I know 2 ladies named Rowan. Also, i may be wrong but what about Gretel? I knew a lovely little girl with that name

MaMaMyCorona · 09/05/2020 21:08

The two that I like the most are Heidi and Alyse

Edenember · 09/05/2020 21:25

Everyone’s definitely picking the ‘prettier’ names from my list whereas I’m definitely veering more towards the ugly ones 😂 @danidella I’m not keen on Rowan on girls tbh and don’t really know why. I like that Rowena’s a bit dark and witchy, totally different feel but i understand why others might dislike it.

The list seems to be growing if anything 😫 just remembered how much I love Jeane as a middle name. So many gorgeous options for girls.

Hettie
Hepzibah

Edenember · 10/05/2020 14:34

@YinMnBlue I like Hettie but not Hephzibah. Too unwieldy for me. I have some longer sounding names on my list 4 syllables Eloisa Ottilia etc but for me it’s about musical and lilting vs cumbersome and unwieldy. I would still think it was cool if I met one though just not for me personally.

Edenember · 11/05/2020 14:40

@Crookshanksthecat thanks. I’m definitely veering towards the ugly ones 😂 . The Pippa thing did worry me because I didn’t know that and if it does sound like that on the continent that would be a straight veto... hopefully there will be lots of European travel so I would defs get rid if it sounds like that in other languages.

OP posts:
Edenember · 11/05/2020 14:46

@Crookshanksthecat but tbh the list is so long veto is exactly what I need and what I came on for, so I’m jumping on excuses to whittle the pile 😂
