Can anyone suggest any girls' names that sound strong, confident and self assured? I'm helping think of a name for my DNiece and would really appreciate some suggestions!

Thank you! I like Eleanor quite a lot
I just wondered about names that are a bit unusual that aren't very common

Any of the classic names would fit the bill including lots of the above suggestions.

Nothing cutesy or twee.

Not a hyphenated name.

And especially not a 'youneek' name.

I liked Pearl for our daughter but it didn't match our surname.
We chose Tora. It's an old Norsk name, the female equivalent of Tor (Thor), so we have our goddess of thunder. It's not popular here (we live in Scandinavia) but it's not old fashioned either.

K and C are strong 💪 letters as is N & Z

Avoid F, S & P as much softer letters

Love Eleanor, but I love the nicknames it lends itself to as well. Ellie, Nori, Nora, love them.
