My next door neighbours little girl is Penny. It’s a sweet name and I like it

I think Penny is lovely and works perfectly fine as a standalone name. Goes well with Molly too.

Really dislike it, sorry. But Penny and Penelope seem very popular on here

I love it OP! I’m a big fan of ‘old’ style names but know they can be a bit like marmite. Works well as a sibling to Molly too.

Penny is nice. I'm not thrilled by it but I'm not thrilled by 99.9% names so that's not saying much. Penny and Molly do make an utterly adorable combo though.

To me it brings to mind a small, quiet, mousey, Victorian servant type of person.

I absolutely love it, it's a family name and likely to be middle name spot on our list this time but we named a pet penny/penelope and I don't think it can be first name because of that (silly mistake!)

Drippy and mousy are the first words into my head. The Victorian servant description a PP gave was spot on for me!

I love it. I know a Penny ans she is nothing like the descriptions of :SionnachRua or OhLook she is a strong, independent, intelligent woman.

The only Penny's I've ever met have all been dogs! It sounds a bit twee.

I prefer Penelope with Penny as a nickname.
