Due a baby boy end of may, need some unusual baby names, but not so common..
Me and my husband can’t agree on a name, he wants to wait till the baby’s born but I’d like to pick a name now.
I have a few on my list however he doesn’t agree he thinks we should have a nice traditional name !

Our girl is called amaya
Some of my boy choices are-
Eliyas
Cassius
Trey
Tareyon

Thanks, these was my two too but he isn’t keen,
He likes Christopher, or John after his dad

John Cassius? Or Cassius John? I like John. It's classic but not common now. Jack is a really cute nickname too.

Maybe go for a traditional name that has a quirky or unusual middle name.
Dominic - Nico
Alexander - Xan
Jonathon - Jonty

Or the other way round: an unusual name that can be shortened to a more known name
E.g. Perseus nn Percy
Willoughby nn Will

Ricekrispie22 · 27/04/2020 07:20

I meant nickname, not middle name!

Blursula · 27/04/2020 07:26

Really like Cassius and think the nn Cass is very cool (also like Cassian and Caspian).

I also like Elias but spelt that way, and great with Eli as nn.

Cassius nn Cass is the only one i like

More 'normal ' but uncommon...

Elijah
Coen
Reuben
Fletcher
Tobias
Xander (could be alexander on birth cert)
Orlen
Matteo
Felix
Sebastian (Seb)

Christopher could be nick named Kitt ? Or could John be double barralled? To call him JJ?

K1mberlylauren · 27/04/2020 09:45

Nah I’m not to sure I don’t want him to have a really long name.
I would give him a middle name of first names shorter x

Whatsyourflava · 27/04/2020 10:21

How about a name that maybe ticks both boxes like Barnaby or Tristan or Vincent (Vinnie)

K1mberlylauren · 27/04/2020 10:28

Vincent is lovely
