Help name Rexs brother

Expecting baby boy number 2 very soon and we still have no names!

My 4 year old DS is named Rex James and we would love a name that is a little bit different and not so popular (like Rex) but we are struggling!

We have decided on the middle name George as it runs through both families.

We seem to go round names like
Arlo
Felix
Leo
River

Any suggestions would be lovely!!

Thanks

Rufus!

Iwalkinmyclothing · 21/04/2020 10:10

Leo is my favourite in your list with Arlo a close second!

Felix is also a lovely name, but I immediately associate it with cats, and as Rex is a name with a bit of a canine association it might seem a bit odd.

Luther? Maxim? Xan?

Arlo - love it! It’s probably more popular than you’re wanting though, so how about Milo or Otto as a less common alternative?

Felix - love it - favourite

Leo - love it. But maybe it’s too popular for you?

River - love it - one of my favourite names

Leo and River. I had Rex River as a potential for mine a while ago.

What about Jago, Art, Walt, Devlin, Arran, Noah, Nico

Basil would be the Greek equivalent ...

Watching Come Down With Me and there is a Digby. Great name!!

pleasenomorechocolates · 21/04/2020 12:24

Leo and Arlo are popular round here atm so perhaps steer clear if that really is an important factor to you. That being said, Leo is a lovely name and think it’d go lovely with Rex Smile

It may be confusing for mail etc later on if they have the same initial.... I like all your other options but agree with PP that Felux and Rex would be a bit odd.

Rex and Otto would be a good combo :)

regularbutpanickingabit · 21/04/2020 15:12

Love Arlo and Leo with Rex. Same first initial always puts me off having had the same as my sister and the 'x' at the end of Felix makes Rex and Felix too similar for my ears. All great names, though!

Otherwise:
Rex and Jago
Rex and Sacha
Rex and Zac (or Zachary)
Rex and Arthur
Rex and Solomon
Rex and Sid
Rex and Stanley
Rex and Alfred (Freddie or Alfie)
