We are thinking of using Felix for DS, what do you think of the name?

We have a two syllable surname and are thinking of using Alexander as a middle name?

Sorry, can't help but think cat food!

I love it, I met a little boy called Felix once as a child and he was so lovely, only one I had met until a friend named her little boy it recently. I think it's such a cool name, yes there's the old Felix the cat adverts, but it depends if that bothers you. It wouldn't bother me personally but it bothered my hubby.

I know more people named Felix (3) than cats(0), beautiful name. Don't worry if it seen as a catty name, this is only a particle truth as it has been a boys name for far longer than the branding of cat food or people naming their animals this. Go for it ;)

It is really popular round here loads of under 2s named Felix at various baby groups. Lovely name but he might not be the only one in his class. That's what put me off.

I know of 3 or 4 Felixes all under 5. I think of it as a cat name but I am in my 50s so it's probably an age thing.

If you look at the official statistics, the name Felix has been holding pretty steady in the 90s in the charts. It’s been holding steady around the #93-mark for past 8 years so very unlikely to boom the way names like Roman and Arlo and Hunter have boomed
