Hey guys
I'm 30 weeks pregnant and would love some help choosing a name for my little boy. I want something normal that suits a child but also not too common.

So far I like:

Jake Moran
Charlie Moran
Keelan Moran

Any ideas pleeeeeeaseeeee?

I'm Irish and to me Keelan is an anglicised spelling of the girl's name Caoilfhionn.

TeetotalKoala · 29/03/2020 22:32

Jake and Charlie are incredibly popular.

Quinn
Hudson
Bodhi
Keiran
Theodore (but not Theo as that's another common one)
Jameson
Xander
Xavier
Isaac
Kennedy
Garrett
Mason
Grayson
Tate

You're probably better with slightly older names if you want not weird but not common.

Simon
Paul
Ryan
Rhys (or Reece if you prefer the Anglicised spelling)
David
Damien
Robert
Robin
Shane
Andrew
Justin
Steven/Stephen
Christopher (also my chosen name if we had another). NN Kit
Matthew
John
Oscar
Joseph
Justin
Wesley
Liam
Peter
Neil
Gareth
Anthony
Alexander

@ArthuriaAugustaDarcy 'Horatio....?' Confused ConfusedConfused very middle class and pretentious Confused why oh why oh why can we all not just have normal decent names now? It seems its either chav central with ' mackenzie-rae' or middle class ironic names like 'augustine phillipa' wheres all the Samuel's? Wheres all the madelaine's? If I had a boy tommorow his, name would be Samuel Liam. A girl would be madelaine Nancy

Charlie is awful.

Keelan is okay

Jake is lovely though I think quite popular still. Well I know quite a few Jacobs who often end up being shortened to Jake.

I like...
Grayson,
Sebastian,
Jeremiah

Babymomalove · 29/03/2020 22:37

I'm Irish - proably should have mentioned that. I don't see Keelan as a trashy name tbh but maybe It is in the UK? I don't know any other Keelans and either does my husband but the more I say it aloud the less I like it...
I thought Jake and Charlie were nice too but I'm not 100% on any name.. who knew it would be so difficult.. I'm praying when I have him in my arms the name will just come to me.
