Thoughts on this for a baby boy?
Double barrelled surname beginning with T so no clash there, I've not met any yet, does anyone know any? Opinions?
Thanks

Its a dog name.

Sorry.

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/03/2020 11:50

Yeh it’s alright. I don’t know any but wouldn’t think too much of it

WhateverHappenedToBathPearls · 29/03/2020 11:51

For me it's a 'cute for a kid, less great on an adult' kind of name.

bookmum08 · 29/03/2020 11:53

I knew a Digby. He was a hamster.

Mlou32 · 29/03/2020 11:54

Just makes me think of "Digby Brown, your personal injury specialists".

supercee · 29/03/2020 11:54

Digby Brown Solicitors are a firm here in Scotland with branches in various cities. Their ad is always on so it's the first thing I thought of (and now can't get out my head Smile).

Obviously not as big of a deal in London.

JeanJackeys · 29/03/2020 11:54

Are you naming a retriever?

supercee · 29/03/2020 11:55

Haha @Mlou32

Windyatthebeach · 29/03/2020 11:55

A dragon?
Are you Khalissi?

Figgygal · 29/03/2020 11:58

Ridiculous just think of your baby growing into a man who has to live his life and get a job with a name only suitable for a hamster

even in London It’s ridiculous

BiggerBoat1 · 29/03/2020 12:00

I had a hamster called Philip.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 29/03/2020 12:02

Digby is a dog's name now, I'm afraid... What about Diggory? Similar sound, but literary rather than canine implications

bridgetreilly · 29/03/2020 12:02

I know a few - teen and adult. It's okay, I think, but not my favourite.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 29/03/2020 12:03

Only if he's a sheepdog.

anonymum95 · 29/03/2020 12:03

Just hope he never comes across any fans of That Mitchell and Webb Look, a charming tramp character called Digby Chicken Caesar comes to mind.

TyneTeas · 29/03/2020 12:04

Dog's name, sorry OP

m.imdb.com/title/tt0069974/

Spam88 · 29/03/2020 12:04

Makes me think of a worm.

Peanut55 · 29/03/2020 12:05

Nope.

WalledGarden · 29/03/2020 12:05

No, no, no — see Digby Jones, now Baron Jones of Birmingham, big business corporate drone, UKIP fellow-traveller and former ‘business advisor’ to the Duke of York.

Rewy · 29/03/2020 12:05

Dogs name.

FAQs · 29/03/2020 12:08

Made in Chelsea has a Digby it’s different.

allaboardthesinkingship · 29/03/2020 12:09

100% a dogs name

Mlou32 · 29/03/2020 12:26

A think a grown up 'Digby' would wear a beige anorak and carry a briefcase. He would be small in stature with a bald head with the 'horseshoe' hair around the sides. He would wear those small round specs' and have a job as an actuary, bank manager or similar profession.

EasyTarget · 29/03/2020 12:27

Digby the dog. It's a no from me.
