Lovely

Alonelonelyloner · 07/03/2020 20:26

I really dislike it. In the 80s everyone seemed to be called either Trudy, Tracy or Chloe so feels common and retro to me.

ellenpartridge · 07/03/2020 20:26

Seems a little bit 80s-90s but still a pretty name

formerbabe · 07/03/2020 20:28

I love it...it was on my list

BabloHoney · 07/03/2020 20:32

Love Chloe, it’s gorgeous 💕

teapotter · 07/03/2020 20:34

I like it. I don’t know many, but looking at ons data it is too popular for my liking. I thought it was timeless but it appears not so much www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/livebirths/articles/babynamessince1904howhasyoursperformed/2016-09-02

Whatsyourflava · 07/03/2020 20:57

I really love it! It’s much rarer now - the name has been on a downward trajectory year on year for 20 years now and in 2018 was about to leave the top 40. By the time the 2020 data is released it will almost certainly have left the top 50 or 60 or more given current trajectory.

It’s on my list!

Firecracker2019 · 07/03/2020 21:03

Was on my list for a girl. I like it a lot.

Whatsyourflava · 07/03/2020 21:06

It doesn’t need a nickname whatsoever but if she wanted one

Chlo or Cleo are really lovely too

mytypeonpaper · 07/03/2020 21:09

Very pretty!

Rocketinapocket · 07/03/2020 21:11

Dated.

june2007 · 07/03/2020 21:21

About 20 years ago it was the most popular girls name, but less so these days. No Chloe,s at the nursery I am in at the mo.

Tatum1234 · 07/03/2020 21:22

Boring

Whatsyourflava · 07/03/2020 21:22

@june2007 yes it’s been on a downward trajectory for 20 years. About to leave the top 50. I really love it.

Marlena1 · 07/03/2020 21:28

DD1s name, I love it. I never get the deal with it being a "90"s name. Who cares? All names will date (apart from super safe ones)

Freezingold · 07/03/2020 21:33

No.

DramaAlpaca · 07/03/2020 22:04

Dated, and I don't like the clunky 'chl' sound.

IceColdCat · 07/03/2020 22:04

Love it

DoctorBambino · 07/03/2020 22:16

It's ok, I prefer Clio

Moctodtensmum · 07/03/2020 22:24

I like it. Reminds me of Sophie, Josie and Phoebe. All timeless names with pretty O and E sounds.

Maggiethehorserustler · 07/03/2020 22:52

@DoctorBambino as in the Renault? Grin

Thank you everyone Smile

I love it - I think it's timeless.

PetraRabbit · 07/03/2020 23:03

It's a really pretty name. I know a few Chloes aged between 13 and 7, but only one newborn, so it isn't the very common name it once was but it's classic enough not to feel too dated and definitely still used.

Peachbubble · 08/03/2020 06:57

I like it

Astronica · 08/03/2020 07:17

I like it but unfortunately find it over-used. While likeable, and it certainly has been around for aeons, it has been very popular since the 90s (and only rarely used before that) so I wouldn't consider it timeless. Nothing wrong with it though.
