Just as the title says!

Lovely.

SallyWD · 08/03/2020 07:55

I love it - classy, chic, pretty but not fussy

jfoyo26 · 08/03/2020 12:36

Kardashian!

MikeUniformMike · 08/03/2020 14:26

I know lots of people who have a daughter called Chloe. They usually refer to "Chlo". A resounding No from me. Overused and dated.

Pemba · 09/03/2020 16:07

A really pretty name, in the same vein as Zoe. Yes, there was a surge of popularity in the 90s (and 80s?) but so what? It's still a classic Greek name, found in poetry and other literature, and not faddy in the same way as Kimberley, Chardonnay etc. It's a bit short-sighted to equate it with names like that.

(So long as it's not spelt Khloe!)

thegreylady · 09/03/2020 16:09

We have a 9 year old Chloe next door. I love the name.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 09/03/2020 16:11

A no, only because in my area of the country it was massively popular at a certain point and there are loads between say 15-25

Doodlesquah1 · 09/03/2020 19:05

90s name to me

MikeUniformMike · 09/03/2020 20:00

Like so many names, overpopularity has tarnished it. I know a Chloe in her 30s and it suits her.

AnxietyQueen101 · 10/03/2020 10:58

It's lovely. I know two little ones aged 3 and 4 so it's still going strong but not over common.

When I had my eldest way back in 1999 there was a huge explosion in the Chloe population!
I remember at Baby Group, literally half the baby girls there were called Chloe.
They will all be 20/ 21 now.

Grufallosfriends · 10/03/2020 13:52

I really don't like it.

Klo is loo in German

usuredo · 10/03/2020 13:56

I love it and I’m guessing it’s probably quite uncommon amongst babies now? I don’t know any young children/baby Chloe’s. I do, however, know many Chloe’s in their 20s so I don’t know if others may find it dated. I think it’s just a lovely sounding simply but very pretty name.

WooMaWang · 10/03/2020 13:56

I teach enormous numbers of Chloes at university these days. We had a year group recently with 6 Chloes in it.

I would imagine it'll be one of those names you can date to a particular era (which may not be a problem - my own name is only ever found in people my age or a bit older).

123Dancewithme · 10/03/2020 16:33

It feels a bit dated to the 90s.

Bezalelle · 10/03/2020 17:15

It sounds nice but the "Chl" part of the spelling is really chemically. Like chloride.

outnumberedmummy · 10/03/2020 17:18

I like it

Poppydaisies · 10/03/2020 17:29

Isn't it spelled Chloë? To make the pronunciation clear?

DoTheNextRightThing · 10/03/2020 17:37

Once you've heard Nina Nesbitt's song "Chloe", it's impossible not to love the name.

ZoeandChandon · 10/03/2020 17:40

I know one Chloe, she’s 22. I think it’s a very lovely, pretty name.

LadyEloise · 10/03/2020 18:57

I think it's been over used - too popular for its own good Smile

CruCru · 10/03/2020 19:56

How would you spell it? Chloe or Chloë?

Whatishappening9876 · 10/03/2020 21:33

Love it. My friends 1 year old DD is named Chloe and she suits it perfectly.

Isthistrueor · 11/03/2020 09:15

Dated, I went to school with about 20 of them in the 90s.

Bluejaune · 11/03/2020 09:31

Lovely name Smile
