Name for sibling of Sequoiadendron?

I'm expecting a second child and struggling with name ideas. Not sure of the gender yet but would like something unique that you don't find often. My husband is a botanist which is why we called our daughter Sequoiadendron (Sequoia for short!) and we're looking for something similar that's plant related.
Thanks in advance for the help fellow mums!! :)

I think Prickly Pear would be great for a boy.

You could call him Prick for short.

This thread is gold 😂

I think my kids would have sadly ended up as Doublemaths, Physics and Assembly based on their father's career. On the other hand, cricket played a large part in his youth, so Wicket, Googly and Sillymidoff might be better options.

How about Lameattemptatgettingintoclassics? Lame for short.

I fear you may regret your choice when it comes to sewing on name tapes Grin

Along with the lawyers, I too went with legal names to match my expertise in Tort law. They are called Donoghue and Stevenson. Donny and Stevie for short. Middle names are Nuisance and Trespass.

I would suggest OP Little Weed would be a good sibling name, paying homage to their younger stature while playing on the classic of Bill and Ben.

Sequoia is a beautiful name.

I know a Secoya- always loved it and so unique.

Can't think of any myself but some lovely suggestions here.

OmD I want this to be a joke

I have a hard enough time with a three syllable unusual name - and a horrendous surname that I don’t use.

If I manage to outlive my mum, it will be legally changed ASAP. If I had the OP child name, I’d be changing it at 18.
