I'm expecting a second child and struggling with name ideas. Not sure of the gender yet but would like something unique that you don't find often. My husband is a botanist which is why we called our daughter Sequoiadendron (Sequoia for short!) and we're looking for something similar that's plant related.
Thanks in advance for the help fellow mums!! :)

From a very old Alex cartoon (probably still in the Independent at that point).
Alex and Penny are discussing names for their prospective offspring.
Alex: "The native American Indians have a great tradition of naming their child after the first thing the mother sees after the birth."
Penny: "We're not calling them 'Private Birthing Suite."

Piss-the-bed is an old name for the dandelion.

Hyphenated first names could be the next craze, I reckon.

Mrsmadevans · 25/02/2020 22:56

Peptostreptococcaceae or an old fave of mine Clostridium Difficile.

TheMistressQuickly · 25/02/2020 22:58

Of course it’s a joke!

Hirsutefirs · 25/02/2020 23:09

And Piss-the-bed can be handily shortened to “The.”

It was on our shortlist, pallisers

in fairness to you, it is the Archie of the IT world. Well done you for going for something a bit different.
