Hi,
I’m due mid March and am still very unsure on names- do not know the gender so trying to decide on both a boys name and a girl’s name!Confused will put both current shortlists below, looking for opinions, favourites and possibly other suggestions?! Thankyou Flowers

Girls: Aria, Mia, Everly, Poppy, Hattie (Harriet) , winter
(Middle name will most likely be Isobel)

Boys: Theo, Obie (obidiah),Freddie, Jago, Teddy/ Ted (Edward), Arlo, Otis, Milo
(Ideally middle name will be Christopher)

As you can see I’ve got lots of ideas and haven’t really narrowed it down- please help! Thankyou xx

Harriet/Hattie and Milo

Poorolddaddypig · 23/02/2020 16:43

Ohh just noticed Winter - I LOVE Winnie as a nickname and Winter Isabel/Winnie Isabel sounds beautiful so I choose that!

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 23/02/2020 16:44

My favourites are Harriet and Jago - both lovely names

DramaAlpaca · 23/02/2020 16:48

Harriet Isabel nn Hattie is lovely. I quite like Aria too, but it's very of the moment.

I'm not desperately keen on the boys' names. I do like Edward but not Ted, and I like Christopher.

Obadiah is usually spelled that way, I think, not Obidiah.

Ricekrispie22 · 23/02/2020 16:49

Aria is really popular at the moment and I think it will date quite quickly. I like Harriet because it’s timeless and it can be shortened.

Whatsyourflava · 23/02/2020 16:53

Really LOVE both your lists.

Girls:

Aria - love
Mia - Love
Everly - love Everlyn is that what you meant Poppy - Love

I love Winter. I dont typically like Harriet but Hattie is actually stunning! Arla is a real favorite of mine!

Winter Isobel is the prettiest combination though. I dont like it with any others.

I like Otis on your boy list. Otis Chrisopher.
Theo is also nice - you could just do Theodore Christopher and see what nicknames naturally emerge: Theo, Ted, Teddy.

Whatsyourflava · 23/02/2020 16:57

Boys:

Theo- Love
Obie (obidiah) - dislike
Freddie - Love
Jago - ok
Teddy/ Ted (Edward) - love

A great list! Favourites Theo, Freddie, Arlo, Otis and Milo

Mia and Theo

TatianaLarina · 23/02/2020 17:03

Milo, Edward, Jago

Poppy is the only one I like of the girl’s names and I wouldn’t choose it as a first name.

Needaholiday00 · 23/02/2020 17:39

Thanks for the responses, I really like winter for a girl but am worried it’s slightly too unusual/ strange? What do you think?

Frangelinajolie · 23/02/2020 18:02

Love Hattie, Winter, Otis & Freddie

Bezalelle · 23/02/2020 18:12

Aria - a nice sound, but quite Game of Thronesy
Mia - fine
Everly - not great
Poppy - not a pleasant sound when you think about it. Like ears popping
Hattie (Harriet) - stuck up
Winter - unusual but nice

Theo - so common nowadays
Obie (obidiah) - Obadiah? No.
Freddie - fine
Jago - poncye
Teddy/ Ted (Edward) - see Theo
Arlo - used to be posh but now every TOWIE cast member is using it
Otis - nice
Milo - chocolate milk powder

Astronica · 24/02/2020 02:04

Favourite girls: Winter (no, not too unusual), Hattie/Harriet, Mia, Poppy

Favourite boys: Jago, Milo, Otis, Ted/Teddy/Edward, Theo

MummySharn · 24/02/2020 02:12

I like Mia and Freddie

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 24/02/2020 02:18

You could call her Winnie.

Winter is catching on. I've seen so many threads of people calling their daughters Winter now so I think it wont be unusual for her generation. And it's a season name so theres a timelessness to that too.

CMMum88 · 24/02/2020 02:25

I like Harriet and Winter, Edward and Milo.

5LeafClover · 24/02/2020 02:42

Hattie and Theo are my favorites from your list.

EmJay19 · 24/02/2020 03:11

Don’t think Winter is too strange - very strong.
My faves are Hattie & Otis

Jossina · 24/02/2020 04:46

Winter and Jago are my faves.

Rainbowqueeen · 24/02/2020 05:11

Poppy and Theo

CityofTsars · 24/02/2020 06:29

Poppy and Jago for me!

I couldn't have Arlo because it's the brand of our baby monitor!Grin

Dinosauraddict · 24/02/2020 06:34

I love HatTie and Poppy. I'm not against Winter as a girls name, but all the girls I've seen be called this have actually been born in Winter, not March...

OhTheRoses · 24/02/2020 06:42

Edward or Harriet
Winter fine and technically early March is still winter but possibly a bit silly once the spring bulbs are out.
