Ivy, April or Amber

Husband loves Ivy. I like it, but it's extremely popular right now.

We both love Amber but I'm worried it may be a bit dated - it sounds a bit 90s to me.

We like April but are worried about the inevitable "showers" jokes!

Anyone have an opinion on these names? If you don't like any of them, are there any similar ones you would suggest? Thanks.

I know two young babies (two years and under) called Amber if that helps reassure you it isn’t dated.

I really like April, I know one aged 10. Ivy is very popular, and Amber is OK.

Ivy is VERY popular right now. I really am not keen on Amber. April is pretty I like that best.

I think April is an odd name, tbh. It's a month.

My neighbour has just had a baby & called her Amber. It was popular in the 90s but I thought it sounded lovely & fresh when I heard it the other day.

Ivy is OK, but I don't like April at all.

Absolutely love April. It’s fresh, pretty, unusual but not try hard. I know a teenage April, she’s very cool.

I only like April if the baby is born during that month otherwise I think it's a bit weird

Amber is lovely.
I don't like Ivy. I always think there's something quite morose about it.
I don't like April either.

I love April. Ivy is cool too. Amber i would agree is slightly dated but is nice. One of my dc has a name that's more dated than Amber, but i still like it and so does she

Who cares if it is 'popular right now'?

If you both like a name, USE THAT NAME!

I don't get the need to be 'unique' these days.

For what it's worth, Ivy is the nicest of those by far.

I like them all, tbh. I'd probably choose Amber.

I also know an Avril, which is pretty.
