Savannah.

Husband is totally set. It isn’t a name I have ever really come across and is very different to anything I’d normally pick.

I am so on the fence as to wether I love or hate?

I dislike it a lot. It’s a habitat environment. It’s like calling your child Permafrost or Tundra.

Peachbubble · 12/02/2020 07:12

Not keen, prefer Susannah.

Skyejuly · 12/02/2020 07:14

dD has 2 Savannahs in her class. One is a sweetie. One is nasty! Both have youngish parents.

diddlediddle · 12/02/2020 07:41

I like it. Also Susannah is nice.

MediocreOmens · 12/02/2020 07:45

I’m really not keen, the Savannah at school shortened it to Sav which is awful, sorry.

Nestofvipers · 12/02/2020 07:55

I don’t like it either sorry.

Being blunt, I disagree with others on here as I don’t think it “goes” with Noah- I think the “ah” sound at the end of both is a bit too matchy matchy and twee.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 12/02/2020 08:16

Love it

Whatsyourflava · 12/02/2020 08:20

Any other names on your shortlist @MrsXx4

MrsXx4 · 12/02/2020 08:55

So names I am drawn to are ones like;

Erin
Neve (although couldn’t have this with Noah)
Katie
Elise

I said to DH about Susannah instead but he doesn’t like it. We aren’t young parents either.

SalmonOfKnowledge · 12/02/2020 09:08

Erin is OK, but a bit plain.

Niamh/Neve the same.
And Katie.

I like Elise best on your list.

If you like Erin, what about Aran or Skye
Maeve is so much nicer than Niamh (jmo)
Katie never going away, what about Jeannie, bit more unusual.
Jane
Anna
Mary
Those names are more classically simple.

SalmonOfKnowledge · 12/02/2020 09:09

What about Lois?

Noah and Lois seem equal in weight if you know what I mean.
Lois is not fancy or frilly at all

MrsXx4 · 12/02/2020 09:16

Oh yes I forgot Maeva is on the list I like it better than Maeve.

My friend has a Lois.

Love Erin Or Elise or Maeva OP
Those are lovely

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2020 09:47

Is the initial S sounded as Ch?

saraclara · 12/02/2020 09:50

I can't bear Savannah, sorry. Really really tacky.

Samhradh · 12/02/2020 10:33

I've never heard 'Maeva' in my life. What is its origins?

GoodnightJude1 · 12/02/2020 10:35

I love it! Visited Savannah (GA) many times and love the place, so probably why!

Pippilangstrumpfi · 12/02/2020 10:39

I don't like Savannah

MrsXx4 · 12/02/2020 10:50

Maeva is a french name.

I used to be totally set on Genevieve but we had a boy and in that time I’ve kind of gone off it now.

FeedMeChoc · 12/02/2020 10:57

Pretty

user1493494961 · 12/02/2020 12:03

Don't really like Savannah but not keen on your names either. Like Katherine shortened to Kate/Katie.

Whatsyourflava · 12/02/2020 12:44

Genevieve is a name I irrationally completely detest 🤣 @MrsXx4 I know it’s weird, I just hate it

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2020 13:20

Genevieve should be a nice name but it seems frumpy and burdensome.
I think it sounds ok in French, but so do most french names. I don't like Amelie, Elodie and Gisele - pretty written down and in french but not in a uk accent.

Nowayorhighway · 12/02/2020 16:34

It’s a stripper name.

Crookshanksthecat · 12/02/2020 20:05

Not a huge fan but prefer Savannah to your other choices.
