Don't love any boy names!

I'm 28 weeks with my first and gone off all the names I originally liked! I want something classic-ish but not too popular, and really like one syllable names that can't be shortened.

This is my shortlist, such as it is:
Jude
Seth
Dex
Quinn

Opinions and suggestions welcome Smile

I really liked Jude but I hear it being shouted across parks/Tesco/soft play all the time, so it put me off.

Really love;
Gabriel nn Gabe
James
Henry
Kit
Lachlan nn Loki
Remi
Theo
Nate
Jesse

I'm loving Dex!! Thst is very handsome. I like it by itself as opposed to Dexter.

My favorite one syllable boy names are Bram, Grant, Dean, George, Neal, Rhett, Eli, Edan, Clive, Clarke, Joss

I have a Kit, but he also used to go to school with a Beck which I thought was a v cool name

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 09/02/2020 17:43

I love Seth. Was on my list but DH vetoed (pulls sulky face.) You don't get many of them round our way.

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 09/02/2020 17:49

I love Jude and Seth. Tried to persuade DH but he wasn’t keen, otherwise the newborn sleeping on my chest probably would have been a Seth!

rmack19 · 09/02/2020 18:31

Thanks for all the suggestions. I thinks he's going to be Jude or Seth 🤔

I do like Jude but it’s the German word for Jew so I always associate it with Nazism and those awful Jude stars they used to make them wear Sad

I really like Quinn. Strong and cool.
Seth is tricky to pronounce for some and Jude sounds feminine, short for Judy or Judith.
I also like Mack and Beck.

LondonernotinLondon · 09/02/2020 19:54

My son is Finn and I also like short names. It suits him so well. I dislike most boys names also which is sad as they're so lovely names.

Love Jude but also a little pretentious?
Sam
Max
Mac
Ollie
My choices if I have anther boy 👦🏼

Poppydaisies · 09/02/2020 19:59

A lot of the mentioned names are short forms eg Oliver/Ollie, Finley/Finn, Samuel/Sam etc. I think the op is looking for names that cannot be shortened.

melissa1215 · 09/02/2020 20:04

I called our boy after my husband, Andrew. We call him AJ for short (Andrew junior) but that wasn't planned the name just grew on us.

Husband and I couldn't agree at all on any names . I loved Joshua, he loved Roland.

I love the name Seth and we also like Nathaniel (Nate)
