Thoughts on Victoria? Are there many little Victoria's about? I quite like Tori

Just lovely

Not many young Victoria’s around. It’s numbers have been falling each year and it’s now outside the top 100.
But obviously loads of 30+ yo called victoria so whilst the name sounds fine to our generation, it might make the next generation think of their uncool dowdy mum’s mates unfortunately 😫

“Oh my aunties called Victoria”
“Oh the dinner lady Vicky”

I suppose Tori does sound a bit .... political ... in these polarised times

I love Victoria. It’s so pretty and elegant and strong and powerful at the same time.
I’ve not heard of a baby Victoria in years.

Toria is another shortening if you were worried about political links

Not a fan, simply because I know so many my age. Also puts me in mind of dumpling-faced Queen Vic.

Love it and know zero under 30! Not massively keen on Vicky, Vic or Tori but I could live with it if friends shortened it.

One of my closest friends is a Victoria so I’m probably biased, but I think it’s lovely.

I only found out recently that Vita Sackville-West was a Victoria. Vita is a beautiful nn.

I love the name Victoria! I would hate the nickname Vicky (no offence meant to any Vickys here...) but if you like Tori you could introduce the nickname early on to make it stick.
