For a boy... we're in dispute in our household!

FancyPants20 · 20/01/2020 10:21

Well, Jaimie is traditionally a girls name, so...

PepsiLola · 20/01/2020 10:22

I thought the girl name was Jaime?

Jamie is nicest imo (it was in my line up for my second who ended up being a girl)

Doyoumind · 20/01/2020 10:23

Jaime is actually a Spanish name for boys. Why it's become popular for girls, I don't know. It doesn't have a second i though, OP.

I would stick with Jamie.

AlexaShutUp · 20/01/2020 10:23

Jaimie just looks like a misspelling tbh.

PepsiLola · 20/01/2020 10:24

Wow who knew there were so many spelling options

Jamie or Jaimie
AlexaShutUp · 20/01/2020 11:38

Can't help but wonder what's wrong with plain Jamie, Pepsi.

Jaymeigh - I mean, why??!!

PineappleDanish · 20/01/2020 12:01

Jamie.

Jaimie isn't a name, not a boy's name, not a girl's name, not a name.

Lavenderblues · 20/01/2020 12:09

Jamie and Jaime are both boys names.

Whoops75 · 20/01/2020 12:15

Jamie reads jay-me

Jaimie reads as J-eye -me

MissDollyMix · 20/01/2020 12:16

Jamie. Definitely Jamie.

MopsRUs · 20/01/2020 12:28

Stick with Jamie for a boy.

CountFosco · 20/01/2020 12:30

For a boy? James.

daisypond · 20/01/2020 12:53

Jamie.

Mamabear88 · 20/01/2020 13:17

Jamie

OverthinkingThis · 20/01/2020 13:39

I know a guy called Jaime. He spends a lot of time correcting people. I'd stick with Jamie.

Lavenderblues · 20/01/2020 14:17

Jamie could read Jam-ie

Jaimie reads as Jay-mie

Although I realise that Jamie is the traditional shortening for James.

BaronessBomburst · 20/01/2020 16:26

Jamie.
Jaimie is just a spelling mistake.

DramaAlpaca · 20/01/2020 16:28

James nn Jamie.

UprightStiffRabbit · 20/01/2020 21:22

Jaime is actually a Spanish name for boys.

pn Hay-Meer

Jamie for boy
Jaimie for girl

OwlBeThere · 20/01/2020 21:32

Jamie for a boy.
I know girls who are Jaime, Jaimie and Jaymee.
I personally prefer it for a girl, Jamie for a boy is a bit 90s.

Mum2jenny · 20/01/2020 21:35

James for a boy, nickname Jamie. Not for a girl imo.

NatashaAlianovaRomanova · 20/01/2020 21:41

Jamie

It was my brothers name & the registrar tried to tell my parents that they couldn't use it for the birth certificate & they'd have to use James - this was 37 years ago.

I went to school with a female Jamey.

To me it's a unisex name.

CodenameVillanelle · 20/01/2020 21:46

Jamie obviously
Jaimie looks ridiculous
