My husband came to me and said he loves the name Pepper and I do actually really like it!

What do you think?

I'm guessing everyone's going to say noGrin

Just thinking this would be a great name for a black cat though...Grin

It reminds me of Pepper Potts from the marvel films

I think it's lovely. I knew a Pepper, and she was delightful, a lovely little miniature Schnauzer. It's a great name for a salt and pepper coloured pet.

It sounds like a pet's name. Would be ok for a cat or dog.

Aside from other children (which you think won't be a problem - fair enough) do you think it'd work as an adult name?

I think it like it as a baby name if it wasn't for that little cheeky bitch of a pig, but not sure whether it works for adults.

That doesn't matter. As long as the parent thinks it's cute and makes them special, it's fine for their child to suffer a lifetime of embarrassment.

This small child will one day be an adult saddled with an idiotic name because its parents thought it cute.

@XXcstatic I hope you enjoy being a nasty human being. You are clearly very insecure and need to get a life

@DickDewy everyone in that generation when they are adults will all have names like 'Pepper' and 'Bluebell' etc. It's the normal now so your point is invalid

I quite like Pepper. I was thinking about whether it's just that I would think it appealing if I met someone with the name, or whether I myself could live comfortably with being named Pepper. And yes, I think I'd actually like it. I do completely disagree with the argument that you couldn't be a doctor or anything else. I know all sorts of professional people with interesting and quirky names. While I like it for itself I also like it as a nickname for Penelope or Persephone.
