My husband came to me and said he loves the name Pepper and I do actually really like it!

What do you think?

I'm guessing everyone's going to say noGrin

Just thinking this would be a great name for a black cat though...Grin

user1019273703 · 13/01/2020 18:25

It reminds me of Pepper Potts from the marvel films

ThatLibraryMiss · 13/01/2020 18:26

I think it's lovely. I knew a Pepper, and she was delightful, a lovely little miniature Schnauzer. It's a great name for a salt and pepper coloured pet.

madcatladyforever · 13/01/2020 18:28

It sounds like a pet's name. Would be ok for a cat or dog.

Nathan Lane in Modern Family

GiveHerHellFromUs · 13/01/2020 18:39

Aside from other children (which you think won't be a problem - fair enough) do you think it'd work as an adult name?

I think it like it as a baby name if it wasn't for that little cheeky bitch of a pig, but not sure whether it works for adults.

Silvergreen · 13/01/2020 19:29

'What if she grows up to be a doctor?'

🤣🤣🤣👍

That doesn't matter. As long as the parent thinks it's cute and makes them special, it's fine for their child to suffer a lifetime of embarrassment.

firsttimeivfmum · 13/01/2020 20:06

I love it! I love unusual names though 😊

AlpacaGoodnight · 13/01/2020 20:06

Love it

This small child will one day be an adult saddled with an idiotic name because its parents thought it cute.

TARSCOUT · 13/01/2020 23:25

My friends dog is called pepper.

SisyphusDad · 13/01/2020 23:26

Pippin Galadriel Moonchild. Aka Pepper. Good Omens. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

ilovechocolatebiscuits · 13/01/2020 23:46

@Silvergreen I know how ridiculous was that comment😂

@XXcstatic I hope you enjoy being a nasty human being. You are clearly very insecure and need to get a life

ilovechocolatebiscuits · 13/01/2020 23:48

@DickDewy everyone in that generation when they are adults will all have names like 'Pepper' and 'Bluebell' etc. It's the normal now so your point is invalid

I quite like Pepper. I was thinking about whether it's just that I would think it appealing if I met someone with the name, or whether I myself could live comfortably with being named Pepper. And yes, I think I'd actually like it. I do completely disagree with the argument that you couldn't be a doctor or anything else. I know all sorts of professional people with interesting and quirky names. While I like it for itself I also like it as a nickname for Penelope or Persephone.

74NewStreet · 14/01/2020 00:10

Didn’t you get the Dr Pepper reference, op?

Bluewater1 · 14/01/2020 00:13

No

Deadsouls · 14/01/2020 00:15

No I don't like it
Maybe Pippa

Comefromaway · 14/01/2020 00:23

Reminds me of the tough orphan in Annie who is a bit nasty.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 14/01/2020 00:28

We have a friend named Pepper Smile they suit their name very well

Blackbear19 · 14/01/2020 00:29

Pepper where's the Salt!

Sorry op it's a no from me. Stupid name for a child.

PointlessUsername · 14/01/2020 00:30

I like it. My 1st thought is Annie, not pepper pig.
