I think it’s a pretty name but in all honesty, all the ones I know are named because of the rainbow meaning behind the name after the parents have had either a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.

My daughters name. Suits her I think. Toddler.

My mum, who is 95, had a cousin Iris. Nice to see it back!

I only know one Iris, went to school with her but she pronounces it Ear-iss rather than Eye-riss so I get a complete mental block and have to double question myself when I see it written down.
Lovely name though
