Ah we loved Max as a nickname for a girl but couldn't find a longer version that we liked. Also love Rory as a nickname for a girl but couldn't quite bring ourselves to go for Aurora (as lovely as it is in theory!). Settling on Max for a boy (if it's a boy!).

I like it! Tbh and only my opinion you name your child what you want to (so long as it's not something stupid) it is your child.

Yep from me. I love Max. My youngest is Andie, not Andrea or anything else... just Andie, and she suits it so much.

Give kids a name that will look ok on their cv, at university graduation, on their wedding day .. . Then shorten it for familial use

I usually hate boys names on girls, but I have a soft spot for Max because of Maxine Peake
Maybe do consider a longer version though, she might like to have a more "girly" form when she's older
