Favourite is Eleanor.
Least favourite is Noelle.

GOODCAT · 26/12/2019 15:56

Lucy or Eleanor, dislike the others

Kacie15 · 26/12/2019 15:57

Thank you Smile. I do like Eleanor, was unsure about Ellie as it's so popular nowadays but I'm good with Elle if it does ever get shortened.

My son was going to be Eleanor if he'd been a girl!

Thank you

Lucy or Eleanor.

GooGoo52 · 26/12/2019 15:58

Love the name Eleanor, not keen on Lucy.

SE13Mummy · 26/12/2019 16:01

Favourite: Penelope, Lucy and Eleanor (prefer Ella or Nell as abbreviations though).

Not a fan of Vivienne or Adrianna.

PlantPotting · 26/12/2019 16:01

Eleanor / Elle - love and love the nicknames favourite
Vivienne - love but wi get shortened to Viv
Lucy - love
Noelle - hate. Horrible sorry, just sounds like Noel Edmunds
Adrianna - like but prefer Aria
Penelope - love
Elizabeth - love joint fav

mondler · 26/12/2019 16:07

Love Eleanor and Elizabeth. Love the sound of them and lots of nicknames/shortenings for your dd to choose as she grows. I think Lucy is OK and personally not a fan of the others x

Robs20 · 26/12/2019 16:14

Penelope, Lucy and Eleanor are my favourites. Don’t like Adrianna or Vivienne (because it will get shorted to Viv). I used to love the name Noelle and if my daughter had been a december baby she would have had this as a middle name.

DramaAlpaca · 26/12/2019 16:20

My favourite is Lucy, because it's short, simple and pretty.

Least favourite is Noelle. It may be seasonal but it's horrible (sorry)

I like the rest of your list, I just tend to prefer short names.

Adrianna is a gorgeous name, but I like the Adriana spelling better.

IckleBear · 26/12/2019 16:25

I only like Lucy.

DoTheNextRightThing · 26/12/2019 16:25

Best to worst imo:

Adrianna
Elizabeth
Noelle
Lucy
Vivienne
Penelope
Eleanor / Elle

DoTheNextRightThing · 26/12/2019 16:27

I really don't like Eleanor. It feels so old fashioned.

SleeplessWB · 26/12/2019 16:55

I'm not sure that Ellie is so popular now. My daughter is Eleanor and there are no others in her year group and no Elllies.

Freya87 · 26/12/2019 16:58

Eleanor - too old fashioned and stuffy
Lucy - sounds like the name of a family dog
Vivienne - meh. Too try hard
Penelope - Kourtney Kardashian
Adrianna - nice if you're an Italian American otherwise don't do it
Noelle - if she's born in December it's a little cliche but ok, any other season no
Elizabeth - Yes. Elizabeth is traditional, less common than it used to be, not too frilly. My fave and only one I like on the list. Sorry.
Elle is nice too in my opinion. Succinct, simple and to the point. Like SleeplessWB said I've also noticed less Ellie's.

What about Rose?

Freya87 · 26/12/2019 16:59

Favorite Elizabeth least Vivienne

SleeplessWB · 26/12/2019 17:31

I'm not sure that Ellie is so popular now. My daughter is Eleanor and there are no others in her year group and no Elllies.

17caterpillars1mouse · 26/12/2019 19:19

Eleanor / Elle - I like it but all the Eleanor's I know are shortened to Ellie which I really don't like

Vivienne - love it

Lucy - beautiful classic
Noelle - pretty name for a baby born at Christmas time

Arianna - dislike it. Sounds very American

Penelope - OK just not for me
Elizabeth - find it a bit dull

Favourite:Vivienne
Least favourite: Elizabeth

Tatianabanana · 26/12/2019 20:13

Eleanor - I really adore this name. I believe Eleanor means 'Light'. It's a classic and elegant without being too fancy. I have a friend called Eleanor and she is a beautiful and sweet person so maybe this has some influence on how I feel about it, worth mentioning she went by Ellie at school but chose to go by Eleanor as an adult so it has versatility too.
Vivienne - Another beautiful timeless name, in my opinion. Conjures old school Hollywood glam imagery for me. Like it!
Lucy - Very sweet, pretty name. Nice and crisp. Another very timeless name. Feels like a younger persons name but it wouldn't not suit an old lady either.
Noelle - I've only ever known someone to have this name as a middle name and as a middle name - perfect. Not particularly keen on Noelle or Joelle or Roselle or Brielle etc as first names, though.
Adrianna - Somebody else mentioned it sounds American and I agree (Noelle too, come to think of it.)
Penelope - I understand the appeal but it's not for me.
Elizabeth - Same as with Penelope.

Favourites: Eleanor, Vivienne, Lucy
Least Favourites: Adrianna, Noelle

How about:
Eleanor Lucy Surname
Vivienne Noelle Surname
Lucy Eleanor Surname

Truthfully, as long as you don't give her some crazy name like Peahead whatever she's called ultimately her personality and character will do all the talking. There will be women with gorgeous lovely names but dull personalities and vis versa.

When you see her face you'll just know!
Congrats!

AfterSomeAdvice1234 · 26/12/2019 20:16

Love Eleanor but with Nora as NN.

georgialondon · 26/12/2019 20:50

I only like Lucy

Serenaserena · 26/12/2019 23:36

Sorry to be boring and say what most others have said but most fav = Lucy and Eleanor. Least fav = Adrianna.
We were going to call our DD Lucy but got put off by Lucie Donlan from Love Island and went for Hollie instead and everyone absolutely loves it. Whatever you choose she'll be perfect I'm sureFlowers
