I like both but would go for Violet because Phoebe (and other similar sounding names like Evie) is a bit too popular around here.

I agree with using both it sounds lovely. I have a Violet who's 16 months old. Beautiful name, it's becoming quite popular again.

Phoebe. It's simple yet beautiful.

Violet is ok but a bit 'try hard' on the granny chic front, to my ear. It aso makes me think of actual Edwardian-born women called Vi, (with her mates Flo and Queenie). Vi is not a sweet or beautiful name.
