Too weird?

Cameo... for a girl.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Whoops75 · 18/12/2019 14:52

No

It’s small part in a show or an ugly brooch.

Ohyesiam · 18/12/2019 14:53

Not too weird, just not very nice.

TheReluctantCountess · 18/12/2019 14:54

No.

BreastedBoobilyToTheStairs · 18/12/2019 14:54

'Appearance' for a middle name?

Best not Op, it would be a struggle for her I think, and she deserves to be the leading lady in her own life.

TheLastBiscuitInTheJar · 18/12/2019 14:55

It's awful.

ChristmasSpiritsOnThRocksPleas · 18/12/2019 14:56

That’s not a name for anything let alone a person. Not to mention the o on the end makes it sound masculine as well.

HeronLanyon · 18/12/2019 14:57

No because it means (amongst others things) a small part (often by someone famous but still small very small usually) not a leading role. Imagine living with that !?

Thestrangestthing · 18/12/2019 14:58

Why would you even consider that?

GroggyLegs · 18/12/2019 14:59

Not keen.

I do like words for names in general but that misses the spot for me.

Cleo?

NameChangedNoImagination · 18/12/2019 15:03

I love Cleo but someone else in the family has just named her baby that.

I got the idea for Cameo from a female bodybuilder with that name. Not into bodybuilding, just saw it and liked it.

OverthinkingThis · 18/12/2019 15:05

Too weird for me I'm afraid.

What about Camille?

HeronLanyon · 18/12/2019 15:10

connie? although that may be a bit similar for the family, to cleo - I could imagine getting a bit muddled if they were more distant relatives

FawnDrench · 18/12/2019 15:12

Far too near "camel toe"
Just awful, so it's a big fat no from me.

Boireannachlaidir · 18/12/2019 15:21

Dreadful. Like a PP I think Camille would be your best bet in similarity.

PremierNaps · 18/12/2019 15:34

No.

You can still name your child Cleo if you wanted to.

PlantPotting · 18/12/2019 16:20

I really love Cleo or Cora or Clementine (Clemmie)

Not Cameo 🙈

daisypond · 18/12/2019 17:21

No. Camille or Camilla?

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 18/12/2019 20:09

Just no

MrsMoastyToasty · 18/12/2019 20:16

No.

I'm old enough to remember the pop group Cameo singing Word Up in the 1980's.

MikeUniformMike · 18/12/2019 20:50

If you like it then yes.

How about Bit Part as an alternative?

MrsNoMopp · 18/12/2019 20:51

How about

Carmen
Clementine
Caroline (Caro)

Or Kamea which is related to Cameo?

MrsNoMopp · 18/12/2019 20:55

... or Mimi, Romy, Cassia?

MadCatLadee · 18/12/2019 20:57

Collette nn Coco

MikeUniformMike · 18/12/2019 20:57

I had to watch the The Word Up on youtube. Great song. Unforgettable oufit.

Is Codpiece a name?

daisypond · 18/12/2019 20:58

If you like the O ending you could think about Juno, Dido, Hero, or ones that end in that sound, like Margot.
