Hi everyone, what do you think of the name Indie-rose for first baby? Thanks!

It's awful, try-hard, sounds like something a teenager would make up to be different.

Indie to me is short for Independent - as in newspaper, music.
Rose as a middle name is overused. It's nice but seems to be the favourite middle name for girls now.

I'm another one who doesn't like hyphenated names, but they are not as bad as joined names (e.g. Indierose)

IRL, the second part tends to be dropped.

It seems a little girl name, not a woman's name.

If you like it use it, but it doesn't seem to be popular on here.

Prefer India Rose to Indie-Rose and definitely not India-Rose.

Suggestions of other girl’s names sort of inspired by places:

  • Florence (Italy)
  • Georgia (US State; there’s also a Republic of Georgia)
  • Marina (California)
  • Savannah (Africa)
  • Sierra (Portugal)

Nah. Hyphenated Christian names are generally a bit wank. Just sound unnatural when shouted out by parents in the park to try hard. And weirdly it mainly seems to happen to girls, you never hear mums calling Caden-Chantelle for example or Ethan-Marie.

Don’t like it. India or Rose both good names in their own right.

Indie = Indiana Jones

Indigo Rose.
