I know one. He's a lovely lad. His mates call him Barney.

I like it.

It's grown on me recently! I quite like it. It's a proper name for a start and has good nn potential.

I’m another one saying it has grown on me. I know of one baby Barnaby quite tenuously and at first I was a bit taken aback at the name and then after a while I started thinking how lovely it was.

@leopardprintboots he doesn't have another name in mind, he just has opinions on the names I like Although he has said if I give up my idea of a home birth I can choose the name soooo...

I also like Casper but we have a Jasper in the family so considering Cassius. What other names do people like if they like Barnaby?

I’d say Casper and Barnaby are in the same kind of category. Pretty unusual names (outside top 100), that are classic. Other names I’d put in same category are Nathan/Nate, Dominic, Tristan, Peter, Cole, Wilfred, Otto, Miles/Milo, Rex, Otis....

I much prefer Casper to Cassius @pinkpeoniesplease - is stick with it even with a Jasper in the family
