Our surname begins with a C, the same Company sound as Casper. Too much? Name too ghostly? Is Halloween messing with my hormones? Grin

*the same 'c' sound as Casper

You could spell it with a k. Kaspar is cool.

AlletrixLeStrange · 31/10/2019 17:34

Will they be a friendly ghost? Grin

winterplease · 31/10/2019 17:35

Only every Halloween when they're made to dress as a ghost. Seriously though, is it too ghosty?

@Turquoise4 I pronounce that KasPAR for no reason other than that's what my brain does lol

How about Caspian?

spice3 · 31/10/2019 17:46

I love it!

Moominfan · 31/10/2019 17:48

I love it!

1066vegan · 31/10/2019 17:53

Sorry if I sound like an inverted snob, but I think that Casper and Caspian are both awful.

winterplease · 31/10/2019 17:53

I don't like Caspian as much somehow

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2019 17:54

Yay, especially if he’s born today

winterplease · 31/10/2019 17:54

@1066vegan my mum has just said the same... might be back to the drawing board. If you were to have a baby boy tomorrow what would you call them?

fancytiles · 31/10/2019 17:58

We are having a baby boy mid December, the names we like are Theo, Arthur, Charlie, James, George, Alex. Quite straight down the line. A less ghostly alternative to Casper could be Jasper? I actually love the name Jasper but DH does not!

LazyDoll · 31/10/2019 18:06

No definitely not don’t do it ever. *

*it’s my son’s name and I adore it. I’ve never met another and I’m happy for it to stay that way Grin

MissHenty · 31/10/2019 18:17

Yes definitely go for it

bridgetreilly · 31/10/2019 18:17

I think Casper is a perfectly good name. I also like Jasper.

1066vegan · 31/10/2019 18:19

Tbh I'm so glad that I've got a dd because I would struggle to find a boy's name that I really like.

I must simultaneously be both a snob and an inverted snob. I don't like names that sound (to me) to be really posh, made-up or American. Plus I'm a primary school teacher and that rules out a lot of names that remind me of particular children.

EleanorShellstrop100 · 31/10/2019 18:29

Yes! Love Casper.

Rosehassometoes · 31/10/2019 18:30

I love it. I like it spelt Caspar.

meandmyboyz · 31/10/2019 18:51

I like it , It's on my list for my third boy I work in a primary school and there's only been one Casper in my whole time there (is that a good sign or not) but I have reservations too about wether it's too out there , the ghost etc however the film was so long ago will this generation even have heard of it ?

Slappadabass · 31/10/2019 18:54

Love it. I know a Casper, really suits him and he is a lovely little boy.

winterplease · 31/10/2019 18:55

@fancytiles my son, my husband, my brother and my nephews names are on your list!

@winterplease 😂😂😂

Goodebe · 31/10/2019 19:04

Great name op

Wheat2Harvest · 31/10/2019 19:06

No. Casper is indelibly associated with a ghost, albeit a friendly one.

Is this a wind-up because it's Halloween?
