Always my favourite baby name lists.

The names I love but are too out there (even for me who's child has an unranked name) to use:

Boys:
Nemo
Zeus
Rubeus
Sherlock
Tokyo
Woody

Girls:
Bambi
Dolly
Birdie
Baby
Queenie
Pepper

Major guilty pleasure names BlushBlush my DP barely let me finish the sentence when suggesting these ones although I wouldn't have been brave enough to use them anyway 😂

RickOShay · 23/10/2019 07:57

@Curlyhair40
It’s a beautiful name, could I ask how old she is?
How did you get your dp on board?
Grin

Curlyhair40 · 23/10/2019 09:02

@RickOShay she will turn 18 in January!
Ahh I love her name too, thankyou!
I have Venezuelan roots so wanted a name that would reflect that, wasn't an issue when it came to deciding to be honest, but most people assume she was born on Valentine's Day!

loubuch09 · 23/10/2019 09:15

Love this Thread.
My dd names are on here tho not as out there as used classic names on BC.
Kathleen -Kitty
Beatrix- BeaBea or Bea
Now due Dd3 and not sure on a name.
Quite like Eliza nn Zaza or Zsa Zsa like Gabor.
Or Maggie but hate Margaret.
Persephone nn Percy?
My aunt was Hepzibah nn Epsi and everyone pulls a fave when I've said I'm considering it.

Angiejbabe · 23/10/2019 09:17

My Dollie is 9

loubuch09 · 23/10/2019 09:17

@curlyhair40
I love valentina what a beautiful name...does she have a nn or always valentina?

Curlyhair40 · 23/10/2019 10:09

@loubuch09 I always use the full name, her friends call her Val (drives me crazy) but I assumed when she was a baby it could shorten to Tina, never did though!

sorrythisusernameisinuse · 23/10/2019 10:11

Basil. Itl just get shortened to Baz which I hate!

5LeafClover · 23/10/2019 10:34

Storm

Gulsink · 23/10/2019 10:58

Phaedra's nice.
I wasn't brave enough for (girls); Leda, Noelle, Hero, Danae, Valentine (love the french pronounciation of this).
(Boys); Leander, Cassius, Paris.

My darling daughters are Valentina and Stamina. I love their names. Nobody else seems to and call them Tina and MintyConfused

Groovinpeanut · 23/10/2019 11:26

Oops auto correct kicked in for some reason it should be Araminta not Stamina

Ohhellooooo · 23/10/2019 11:28

Malachy is also an awesome name but I'm not keen on the abbreviation to Mal (everyone thinking you've named you child Malcolm)

Jamzvtho · 23/10/2019 11:33

Isadore for a boy

Honestly I love Valentina!! I would have used it if Oh liked it enough but he didn't. I always liked the nicknames Leni or Lena for it, not Val or Tina

stophuggingme · 23/10/2019 11:59

I forgot one. Araminta

MontanaSky · 23/10/2019 12:33

I loved Cecily, Ottilie, Coralie and Aurora for a girl.

Our daughter is not called any of those names

Alisonm23 · 23/10/2019 13:02

I really liked Titus for a boy
