My husband really liked tyr for a boy, I like the name but just knew it would get pronounced wrong all the time

I have Venezuelan roots so wanted a name that would reflect that, wasn't an issue when it came to deciding to be honest, but most people assume she was born on Valentine's Day!

I love valentina what a beautiful name...does she have a nn or always valentina?

@loubuch09 I always use the full name, her friends call her Val (drives me crazy) but I assumed when she was a baby it could shorten to Tina, never did though!

Basil. Itl just get shortened to Baz which I hate!

Malachy is also an awesome name but I'm not keen on the abbreviation to Mal (everyone thinking you've named you child Malcolm)

Honestly I love Valentina!! I would have used it if Oh liked it enough but he didn't. I always liked the nicknames Leni or Lena for it, not Val or Tina

Our daughter is not called any of those names
