Middle name for Theo

I don't know what I'm having, although I'm pretty sure it'll be a boy (I had the same feeling with DS, either that or I'm mad).

So for the first name we've decided on Theo, I was going to go "Theo Rowan" but I don't think it fits? And it deserves something more traditional.

DS middle name is Thomas so that's a no. But again I do like the more traditional names for a middle name.

Forgot to say if it's nice enough ring to it we can throw Welsh names in there too.

I have a Theo and ended up giving him his fathers name in exchange for my surname. But if I'd had free reign I'd have gone with Alexander, I think they flow really well together.

babycakes1010 · 18/10/2019 11:51

George
Ellis

MissPepper8 · 18/10/2019 12:00

@SandrasAnnoyingFriend Ah that's nice though, DH name wouldn't go with it unless I went with the traditional form. Alexander is nice too, I can't decide if it needs something longer or as short.

@babycakes1010 I literally just found Elis as the Welsh version and jotted it down.

@MissPepper8 It would be nice if his father wasn't an unmitigated twat

december20100 · 18/10/2019 12:32

How about Theo James?

PullingMySocksUp · 18/10/2019 12:36

Ours is Henry.

Poochnewbie · 18/10/2019 12:38

But seriously I'd give him the full name Theodore.

Theodore James
Theodore James

Any family name?

MissPepper8 · 18/10/2019 13:50

I like James and Alexander right now, James was the first thought I had actually.

@Lavenderblues Thread wasn't about my choice of first name and I prefer shortened form Theo.

Ah Theo is a lovely name

Theo James sounds lovely

Perhaps a middle name without an “O” in it would work best as otherwise it detracts slightly from Theo

Theo Alexander
Theo James
Theo Rupert
Theo Rex
Theo Reuben

I think I like James best so far

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/10/2019 14:23

Theo Alexander is gorgeous.

Theo James
Theo Arthur
Theo Elliot
Theo George
Theo Christopher

HeadlessGummyBears · 18/10/2019 14:23

@MissPepper8 James was what first came to mind as well.

FthisS · 18/10/2019 14:24

Definitely Alexander or Sebastian

LouiseLouisa87 · 18/10/2019 14:27

Dore

Greeni · 18/10/2019 14:29

Mines Theo Bear

Kanga83 · 18/10/2019 14:30

I have a Benedict Theodore. I think Benedict would work equally well as a middle name.

HufflepuffBean · 18/10/2019 14:31

Mine is Theo Paul. He suits it beautifully.

Wattagoose90 · 18/10/2019 15:44

I love Theo Rowan!

MissPepper8 · 18/10/2019 15:54

Thanks everyone, I have some lovely choices to convince DH with now. I really do like the longer names but I'm stuck on James and George as ideas too. This is harder than choosing the first name 😂

@Wattagoose90 I did have that down as my final choice but my nana has sewn a seed of doubt 😂. She said its too modern and needs a more traditional middle name as I've shortened Theodore.

I also gave my Theo his father's name as a middle name but really likely Theo Samuel

bebumba · 18/10/2019 16:56

Charlesandfred · 18/10/2019 16:59
