Hi I am wondering which is your fav out of this list and any you dont like please say why...

Layne is an awful name

Violet. I really like it.

Not too keen on either of the middle names but if I had to pick one, I'd go Elle

Violet, biased as I have one, it's beautiful and not too cutesy

I quite like Phoebe & Violet.

Maggie is very harsh, and it's a diminutive of Margaret to me rather than a name in its own right. Layne will get misheard as Elaine all the time. Belle is a bit Disney princess & fluffy.

As for the middle names, Elle just means 'she' in French. Louise is better than just Lou.

Anyway, you can't really have Belle Lou or Belle Elle, now can you?

I like all of the first names, Maggie and belle are my favourites. Layne is my least favourite, I'm assuming it's pronounced lay-nee? It looks very similar to the spelling Jayne and I read it as Lane first time.

I'm not keen on either of the middle names sorry- do they have special meaning or are they names you just like? I'm afraid neither seen to go with any of the first names you've shortlisted

None of your options really sound quite right with Elle so I'd go for Lou as the MN whichever you chose. Violet and Phoebe are lovely though.

Like pp I like Pheobe and Violet. I don't like either middle name though. Especially not Elle as whatever you put before it just sounds a bit like you're swearing.

Violet or Phoebe with Louisa or Isabel as middle names (which could then be shortened)

I like Margaret and Maggie is ok as diminutive ( prefer Peggy or Daisy)
Phoebe and Violet I am neutral on
Layne is not to my taste
Belle is a pony or a Disney character

Sorry OP I am not doing very well because I think your middle names just sound like random noises and seem a bit purposeless

Phoebe or Maggie. Both lovely. Like Lou better but sounds a bit country and western as a middle name

Maggie just makes me think Thatcher which is also awful

They are all fine, except for Layne. I really don't like that. Not a nice sound and people will struggle with the spelling.

Violet Maggie - only Maggie and Belle work in the middle .

If so maybe Layni, Laynee or Lainey to avoid people pronouncing it "Layn" (as in the end of Elaine).

Belle is OK but wouldn't fit with either of the middle names you have chosen.
Violet Belle sounds nice though.

Phoebe, although much prefer Hebe. Violet always looks like Violent. 😕 Lou is nice, but prefer Louise!

I don't think any of them are as awful as posters are making out. Have certainly ever seen belle described as an awful name
