Eliza or Rosa?

Would be a sister for Reuben - we had decided on Rosa but is it a bit Kardashian to have two names beginning with the same letter?

I much prefer Eliza.

Ihateedmundelephant · 15/10/2019 07:58

Thanks for the reply @astonica ! Is there a reason why you prefer Eliza or do you just think it sounds nicer?

I think both are lovely. I wouldnt have a problem with 2 kids with the same initial I'd you love the names - when you have 4 or more it's a bit much!

NerdyCurvyInkedandPervy · 15/10/2019 08:06

I love Rosa.

Two of my children have the same initial. Never been an issue.

MissBridgetJones · 15/10/2019 08:13

Eliza, really don't like Rosa. Although like Rose or Rosie x

I think Picture Rosa in a gypsy caravan with a crystal ball telling fortunes.

PandasMum · 15/10/2019 08:37

Both are lovely but I would go with Eliza

NoSauce · 15/10/2019 09:19

Eliza. I don’t like Rosa but love Rose!

user1493494961 · 15/10/2019 09:25

Love Eliza, like Rose but not Rosa.

Frith2013 · 15/10/2019 09:28

Rosa.

Eliza sounds like an old crone.

Windydaysuponus · 15/10/2019 09:30

Consider which nn you prefer.
Liz
Lizzie
Liza
Rosie
Rose

I choose names with minimum scope for a nn!!

Sleepinglemon · 15/10/2019 09:30

I love both. No help sorry!

071019DD · 15/10/2019 09:50

Eliza for me! I love it.

MissHenty · 15/10/2019 10:46

I really love both names so I’m no help either

The two R’s wouldn’t concern me in the slightest. Yes if you had 4 kids with the same initial it could appear a bit forced

KangaFandanga · 15/10/2019 10:49

Oh Rosa! Such a gorgeous strong name. Eliza is a bit blah.

Robs20 · 15/10/2019 10:52

I would go with Rosa. Love the two R names together. I also love Eliza (dd1’s name!)

notso · 15/10/2019 10:54

I think Rosa is better than Eliza although Rose is way nicer than Rosa. Reuben and Rosa do sound a bit twee together though.

missmouse101 · 15/10/2019 11:13

Rosa much nicer name. Don't worry about matching initials.

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 15/10/2019 11:21

I really love both but I think Eliza wins it for me by a tiny bit, just asked my husband and he said Rosa so we're no help sorry!

Untamedtoad · 15/10/2019 11:23

I have an Eliza Rose!

HappyDinosaur · 15/10/2019 11:25

Not very helpful, but I think both are lovely. I've heard of a couple of Eliza's recently but no Rosa's if that makes any difference.

IncrediblySadToo · 15/10/2019 11:27

I like Rosie m, but not Rosa

I don’t really like Eliza, but I’d choose it over Rosa

IncrediblySadToo · 15/10/2019 11:27

Sorry untamed toad.

Maybe your DD would make me change my mind😊🌷

MrsBertBibby · 15/10/2019 12:18

Rosa is lovely. Eliza is a bit prim. It's OK.

Spied · 15/10/2019 12:19

Eliza.

SumAndSubstance · 15/10/2019 12:21

I much prefer Eliza. I don't like Rosa much, or Rose for that matter. It seems to be a pretty even split though, OP!
