As a baby brother for sister Margot? Which name do you prefer?

Definitely Hamish

raeray · 06/10/2019 21:42

Hamish is definitely my favourite by far.
Think it does go well with Margot too.

Orchidflower1 · 06/10/2019 21:42

Hamish definitely

Windydaysuponus · 06/10/2019 21:42

Hamish def.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 06/10/2019 21:44

Hamish, although I do like the idea of Gilbert because of Anne.

Getoffmylilo · 06/10/2019 21:49

I love Gilbert. However this is mainly because I used to love watching Gilbert the Alien, which isn't a good image really.

MissHenty · 06/10/2019 21:51

What do you think of Gil or Bertie @JinCa Op as I definitely think that is what they will end up being called whether you like it or not

Xx

DramaAlpaca · 06/10/2019 21:53

Hamish by a country mile.

JinCa · 06/10/2019 21:54

I actually like both of those nicknames, especially Gil for an older man. It slightly worries me that there’s no shortened form of Hamish. That said, Hamish is probably our fav right now so good to hear others agree.

NoSauce · 07/10/2019 07:18

Gilbert. I know so many dogs called Hamish!

Peachbubble · 07/10/2019 07:29

Hamish 100%

VenusClapTrap · 07/10/2019 08:02

Hamish. It doesn’t need a nickname, it’s only two syllables long!

Koloh · 07/10/2019 08:09

Hamish!

user1493494961 · 07/10/2019 08:14

Hamish, but do like Gil for an adult.

girlandboy · 07/10/2019 08:18

Hamish definitely.

Where I come from a Gilbert is another word for a bogey. Sorry.

AfterSomeAdvice1234 · 07/10/2019 11:54

Definitely Hamish! I went to school with a Ham (short for Hamish) - nn does exist but might not be to everyone's taste Wink

Grufallosfriends · 07/10/2019 13:52

Hamish is great, but Ham 🥩 ?!

NuffingChora · 07/10/2019 14:01

hungryhippie · 07/10/2019 14:02

Definitely Hamish. Gilbert is really terrible.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 07/10/2019 14:05

I'm a Scot, and hear lots of people called Hamish. Only thing is, to us it sounds like you're not quite home yet.....Hame-ish.

Lllot5 · 07/10/2019 14:06

Neither poor little sod.

AfterSomeAdvice1234 · 07/10/2019 15:27
