Which spelling, which name?

Which spelling do you prefer for these two names and which do you prefer in general

Catherine / Katherine / Katharine / Kathryn

Madeleine / Madelyn or Madeline with the different pronunciation for Madeline

I prefer Catherine, spelt like that.

Then Madeleine.

Kathryn. Would never use Madeline, however it is spelt. I think it has unhappy connotations.

Catherine or Katharine. I love both these. 2 of my influences are Catherine from Wuthering Heights and Katharine Hepburn. I think Kitty is fine for any spelling of Catherine.
