After much deliberation I've narrowed my girls name list down to:

Pippa
Hallie
Connie

Brother is Noah. Boys name I've picked is Rupert.
Why do you prefer? And why?

Ta muchly.

They are all perfectly nice in my humble opinion! Rupert is brave, but why the hell not.
The only thing is Pippa means penis in Greek (I think . . ?) But it's a really nice name :-)

Bringmewineandcake · 07/09/2019 20:54

Hallie first, connie second.

17caterpillars1mouse · 07/09/2019 21:04

In order of preference

Connie - love this
Pippa
Hallie

I like them all though

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/09/2019 21:19

Pippa also means a blow job in Italy. If I’m not mistaken so It doesn’t travel very well.

Hallie is just okay

I love Connie. It makes me think of a little girl whose family live in a farm in Texas. Her best friend is Billibob-Jo. She has 3 older brothers called Huck. Finn and Beau, and Is the wilder than her 3 very quiet mellow brothers combined. It’s strange how a name can set off your imagination

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/09/2019 21:20

Piper might be a nice alternative to Pippa

NoSauce · 07/09/2019 21:20

Hallie is awful.

I like Constance but not Connie. Pippa is ok.

Loveislandaddict · 07/09/2019 21:22

Pippa is a nn for Philippa. Quite like it.

Hallie - like this name.

Not keen on Connie (or Constance)

TildaTurnip · 07/09/2019 21:22

Hallie.

I liked Pippa but am put off by its meaning in Italian and Greek mentioned by pp!

Connie I almost like but I really hate the Conservative Party and it makes me think of them!

BertrandRussell · 07/09/2019 21:23

Phillipa or Constance.

user1493494961 · 07/09/2019 21:25

Not keen on any of them really (nor Rupert). If I had to choose, then Connie..

swimminginchampagne · 07/09/2019 21:35

Sorry if I didn't make the post clear but these are the names. I will not be using longer versions of the name, as I personally feel longer names on birth certificates are unnecessary. Please could you kindly just comment on names as listed. Thank you.

I like both Connie and Pippa so I'd choose whichever of those goes best with your surname if you can't decide. For me, Hallie is a distant third choice.

A good friend has a Connie and a Pippa!

TokenGinger · 07/09/2019 21:42

I think they are all lovely names but I particularly like Connie. It isn't a name I've seen much and I think it's lovely.

NoSauce · 07/09/2019 21:43

Pippa then.

Totopoly · 07/09/2019 21:47

Rupert is a good name.

Hallie isn't.

Philippa and Constance are fine. Though why wouldn't you put a full name on a birth cert? My DD has a very long name (rarely heard on MN, or in RL) though it known by a slightly less rare shortened version. It gives her choices later on.

Plus why give a boy a proper name, and not a girl? Why not Rupe, rather than Rupert, if you're suggesting Connie, rather than Constance?

There are several Connies at my DD's school, FWIW. No Pippas.

lottiegarbanzo · 07/09/2019 21:48

Connie is lovely.
Pippa is cute

Hallie is unusual and may cause Hallie / Hailey confusion. Also halitosis. Not keen. Prefer Hattie or Callie.

cakesandphotos · 07/09/2019 21:52

I would have to do Philippa and Constance and then shorten them. Not keen on Hallie

glitterfarts · 07/09/2019 21:58

Pippa is lovely. If she happens to move to Italy or Greece, she can go by Pip instead.

Then Hallie - although it'll get confused a lot for Hayley pronunciation I think.

Then Connie.

MissHenty · 07/09/2019 22:04

I like Connie best
(Love Rupert btw)

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 07/09/2019 22:09

Connie though prefer Constance
Pippa though also better as Philippa
Hallie-just no. My sister has a dog called Hallie and I always thought it was a made up name by her girls when they were toddlers!🤷‍♀️

20viona · 07/09/2019 22:09

Hallie

aibutohavethisusername · 07/09/2019 22:27

Pippa

PJ67 · 07/09/2019 22:30

Think Connie is my favourite, followed by Pippa. Don't really like Halley. Love Noah and that would sound nice with Rupert.

PleaseSirMyGoat · 07/09/2019 22:34

Like Pippa a lot, although wasn't aware of the foreign meanings.
Hallie - ok
Connie - I cannot stand this name. I don't know why but it makes me shudder

Shadow1234 · 08/09/2019 05:14

Hallie
