Vivienne or Juliette?

I really like both. Am leaning towards Vivienne but suspect it is quite divisive and Juliette may be better received...
Older sister is Saskia. Thx

I like both. If I had to choose I'd probably go for Vivienne.

I'd have a slight preference for the Vivien spelling though, just a bit less frill for the same pronunciation.

Spoonsmum · 28/08/2019 16:43

I know a Juliette. She always called herself Julie though as she didn’t like the long name and the ‘wherefore art thou’ comments. Although I think it’s a lovely name :)

PennyGold · 28/08/2019 16:47

Juliette.

Frith2013 · 28/08/2019 16:49

Neither, sorry.

RonSwansonsMustacheComb · 28/08/2019 16:54

Both lovely.

Juliet is on my list if I ever have another.

northernknickers · 28/08/2019 16:58

Neither...sorry 🤦‍♀️. Both will get shortened at school to either Viv (yuk!) or Jules or Julie. Whether you want them shortened or not, it will happen! I could 'just about' cope with Jules, not not Viv/Julie...way too 'old' for a child.

Love Saskia though!

bigchris · 28/08/2019 17:01

Vivienne reminds me of pretty woman Grin

userabcname · 28/08/2019 17:02

Both beautiful! If I had to pick I'd go with Vivienne.

Chitarra · 28/08/2019 17:03

Juliette (although I prefer Juliet)

SlimGin · 28/08/2019 17:03

I love Juliette. Vivienne is lovely but makes me think of an old lady

AfterSchoolWorry · 28/08/2019 17:05

Vivienne.

Juliette just isn't on the same level.

Kanga83 · 28/08/2019 17:06

Love Vivienne, absolutely hate Juliette/Juliet.
Love Saskia too and think Vivienne goes well with it as a sibling set.

rosydreams · 28/08/2019 17:06

Vivienne it means to be alive i think thats a nice meaning

Roselilly36 · 28/08/2019 17:13

Vivienne is a beautiful name.

daisypond · 28/08/2019 17:16

Will you be pronouncing them both the French way? If not, spell them Vivien or Juliet. I like both but would go for Vivien.

Awrite · 28/08/2019 17:18

A thousand times Juliette. Such a beautiful name.

beanaseireann · 28/08/2019 17:25

Juliette
So much nicer than Vivienne ( Viv - ugh!)

They are not in the same league.

RebeccaRae · 28/08/2019 17:31

I really like both. Prefer Juliette (and prefer the spelling Juliet unless you're french in which case crack in!) but still think Vivienne is lovely.

Peachbubble · 28/08/2019 17:43

Vivienne - I know one nn Vivi.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/08/2019 17:59

I love Vivienne. It’s a bit more down to earth but still classy than the upper class Juliette.
However I don’t think any go with Saskia

Camparisafari · 28/08/2019 18:33

Thanks for all the replies so far! I admit I am a little worried about Viv or Julie nicknames! Saskia is often shortened to Sassy which I am completely happy with. I like Vivi but not sure about Juliette options.

I LOVE Vivienne

AverageMummy · 28/08/2019 19:42

I think both are lovely but prefer the Juliet spelling

aibutohavethisusername · 28/08/2019 21:06

Juliette

joystir59 · 28/08/2019 21:08

I prefer Vivien/ne as it seems stronger to me than Juliette. I prefer Juliet and Vivien to Juliette and Vivienne
