I’d go with the suggestion of Katherine, and call her Katniss as a pet name. Or Katrina, Katharina.

Solonelywastheballard · 23/08/2019 23:13

Is this a pias take

Herefortheduration · 23/08/2019 23:14

o but it always makes me think of cat piss.

KatherineJaneway · 23/08/2019 23:16

Yes, plenty. All Hunger Games inspired.

MoaningMinnie1 · 23/08/2019 23:21

Katnip is better. Or Katlitta. Kat for short with both.

IamtheOA · 23/08/2019 23:29

Please don't

Ladymardy · 23/08/2019 23:31

Great for a cat but not a baby

NotStayingIn · 23/08/2019 23:33

Oysterbabe · 24/08/2019 05:16

People would laugh at you behind your back if you did.

polarvortex · 24/08/2019 06:00

Noooo! She will be called cat piss at school!

AverageMummy · 24/08/2019 10:49

Reminds me of catnip

userabcname · 24/08/2019 11:04

It is a great name imo (hence my username) but sadly I think she would get called Katpiss. It's an excellent name for a cat though!

teachermam · 24/08/2019 11:43

No

NeelixFelicis · 24/08/2019 11:46

You've got to be taking the niss.

Ellmau · 24/08/2019 15:54

TO be fair to the OP, there’s A long history of writers making up names that then become popular and accepted names, eg Pamela, Wendy, Miranda. But I’m not convinced the Hunger Games is literature for the ages, and this name is likely to date really badly.

AverageMummy · 24/08/2019 18:28

@Ellmau Miranda dates back to the 1600s.... I think surely any name is ‘made up’ if you go back far enough ?!?!

Frith2013 · 24/08/2019 18:32

Cat piss or cat nip?

I don’t know any. I don’t tend to have friends who are twats.

user1493494961 · 24/08/2019 19:44

It's a no from me.

Chattycatty · 25/08/2019 00:15

I'd rather primrose than Katniss but agree with the pp katherine and then you can use Katniss as a pet name til primary school

GloriousMystery · 25/08/2019 00:22

I think you should call her Effie-Trinket, personally.

moonpiggle · 25/08/2019 00:23

Behave.

mylaptopismylapdog · 25/08/2019 00:23

No

OpenYourEyes · 25/08/2019 00:26

Yes but only if upon birth she says "I volunteer" otherwise go for Primrose.
